Don't know if this is allowed but:

Hello,
My film classmate (who is from Japan) and I (from Canada) are going on adventure from one end of Japan starting from Hokkaido to Okinawa and back. During our journey, we will travel 10,000 km, shoot 10,000 minutes of video, capture 10,000 photos and meet and interview 10,000 people. The best/most interesting will be included in the documentary.

Please check out our funding page for more info:

You can't interview 10k people with 10k minutes of film.

>> No.12658239

>>12658234
What if the whole documentary is just 1 minute interviews with a few hundred people?!

Just kidding. You got us. We will meet 10,000 people and interview a few interesting folks (think Humans of New York)

If we get it on film it'll definitely be included.

How is this related to otaku culture?

Does 10,000 km even cover Japan? I wonder if you'd end up ticking your 10,000th kilometer somewhere in Tokyo and just call it a day.

>> No.12658273

>>12658264
we want to hear what JP related things people are interested in seeing in the documentary. I think otaku culture is a huge topic people would like to see.

>> No.12658276

>>12658273
That doesn't make it otaku culture.

What is this shameless advertising?

>Literally trying to get other people to pay for your travel

And is that not in the spirit of a true NEET

>> No.12658321

>>12658210
Dude, don't advertise on 4chan or put anything 4chan on your resume. Anyway this is advertising, and I don't think that letting someone pay for your vacation is a good thing to do.

As much as I'd like to see it, it just isn't the way.

>> No.12658324

>>12658310
Hmm... In that spirit, I wonder if we can produce a kickstarter to fund ourselves? As in food, electricity, internet, the whole deal.

Here's a rough breakdown of how the $6,000 will be spent:

Camera/Lens
$3,000

+ Other Equipment (e.g. tripod, stabilization, lights, batteries, chargers, memory cards etc)
$2,000

Misc. (e.g. fees, office supplies, postage, reward fulfillment, advertisement)
$1,000

Travel, food, accommodations, etc is covered by ourselves.

>> No.12658327,1 [INTERNAL]

> $0.00
pledged of $6,000 goal

>If we cannot meet our goal, we will do half of the intended goal: 5,000 km, 5,000 photos and 5,000 minutes of video.

LMAO if they can afford like 20k for accommodation, travel and food it's obvious that they've already got a stable income. Why can't they afford another 6k for gear? What's that, another year of savings?

I'm 100% sure a concept idea was posted for this back in 2011, using that same image (without the logo) and it included something or other to do with otaku culture then
