So, how should I go on about clearing maps?
I'm pic related is my fleet. I'm at 4-4 right now and I'm pretty sure I could just go for it, but every time I clear a map my whole fleet's in yellow-orange and I'd rather farm some xp than wait 5 hours for them to be repaired just to repeat the same thing on the next map.
Should I just xp farm until I outlevel everything so much that I can just roll through or is there any alternative?
There doesn't seem to be any real benefit to clearing the maps in the first place, so I'm really wondering what I am supposed to do now.

There's a fair chance Iku will show up as a drop on one of the event maps, so I think you're better off just stockpiling and doing some minor (and I mean minor) leveling.

All rare ships tend to show up somewhere on event maps, especially subs. Odds are good for even getting LSC only ships as well.

Hell, I've gotten some of the harder to acquire ships thanks to events. Never had to mess around with 3-4 nonsense to get Hatsukaze, thank god.

I-401 is the only ship that exhibit non-placebo effect of devmat, but that's probably due to time difference of the samples involved.

Regarding the chinese log site, you shouldn't take the results at face value. Not saying that the statistic is wrong, but most people are biased toward the true and tried recipes.

The darker shade of grey is a big improvement. Your first design lacked contrast, and I think for a white-based shirt, a design with strong contrast is preferable.

Overall, it's a bit bland for my tastes, but given that you're going for a minimalistic design, I'm not sure what would improve it without making it too busy.

Maybe if you switched to her remodeled palette for the shirt? I think those colors might make for a better looking shirt while maintaining a simple design.

Anyone have tales to share about girls outperforming their stats?

I have a Murasame which survived to level 4 being sparkling fodder without getting hit even once, despite being constantly at 0 morale and without fuel/ammo. She even managed to steal MVP few times in process. I kept her due to this outstanding stunt, and she still amazes me with her hard work. Granted, I don't sortie her a lot, but I've yet to see her going red first, it's always others who force me to retreat. Spring E-4, Summer sub nodes, she survived them all without blunders.

I have a level 70 unremodeled Abukuma that got all her levels from submarine runs in PvP. I didn't intend to grind her or anything, I needed something extra to kill full submarine teams and it just kind of happened. She often gets MVP over my dedicated ASW ships, who among other things are remodeled, with all of her two slots.

I also have a Kako, Kisaragi and Sendai that did Fall E4 and E5 for me. Kako and Kisaragi sponged all the hits in E4 and E5, so that Kongo, Kirishima and Kitakami were free to nail on Henderson and cockblock princess, while Sendai kept up with the rest of the (level 70-90) team despite being a level 33 destroyer escort.

You're right, I was just thinking that since I got sent through double Ru node, at which point I didn't have to worry about the compass again. But at least you only have to go through one battle before the compass fuckery and the quest uses a cheaper fleet. My first run for the 4-2 quest I got sent the whirlpool route then double south for maximum battles.
