Does anyone have basic measurements for real machines? I'm gonna build a space for IIDX and SDVX but I don't know how high the keys are from the ground, how high the monitor is, how far the monitor is from the keys, and how big the monitor is.

Obviously the measurements are probably different for each game, so I'm looking to make something that's close enough for everything.

I have a feeling I got it from Tokyo Toshokan, but searching for LDJ as of right now just yields a single JAV torrent; 2 weeks ago it came up with two torrents, Spada and the JAV.

Searching for results from the past month using the game version code, 'spada pastebin' and 'iidx pastebin' just give the Tricoro non-sows guide and a chatlog featuring xBEMANIxGIRLx. I did manage to find a page on Bloglovin which had this link, and the size of the torrent matches up; 37.4gb, but the site hosting the .torrent is down for maintenance, so I'm not sure. I'm trying to find a way to view past magnet links that I've input to utorrent, but I can't see anything about this.

Also, give this torrent (puush link) a go. I believe it's exactly the same, but I had 3 ones with the same name downloaded on different dates, so it might work. I put them in a separate pastebin because system thinks it's spam.

I'll give it a go; I have a tendancy to not play as though I'm using a keyboard where I will rest my fingers on keys where I'm not doing anything, rather holding my hands above the buttons when not doing anything. I think part of the issue is not being able to quickly enough press x buttons with my hands while also scratching without pre-assigning fingers to buttons like most people do. I would be keen to try 1/7 though, it seems interesting and challenging.

i was doing this for a good month and a half and started brute forcing 7s like that and just it was starting to become unfun because scratching was an absolute nightmare

i ended up practicing and getting comfortable with taka.s (thumb on 1 index on 2 then both thumbs do double duty to handle 3 depending on the situation) which actually kind of launched me into 8s. i'd recommend it, it always leaves you in a good position to scratch properly, and is a good workout for your thumbs. you'll probably want to explore other techniques before too long though

Should I keep playing 6s then move onto 7s when I feel I'm ready, aim to FC some 5s, or just keep playing 6s until I can FC some of them then move onto 7s?

If you have the room for it at home definitely go for it. What do you have to loose? You'd be surprised at how easy it is to get this info.

Start by asking any employee there. They might be able to tell you if it's owned by the bowling alley or if it's rented or refer you to the owner of the place. This is exactly how I got my ITG2 cabinet. I ended up paying 2500 for mine, it needed some new pad sensors and a good cleaning but was otherwise in decent shape. I'm not 100% sure how much an older DDR machine goes for or what shape it's in but I think you can probably get it for under 1k.

Yeah I have no clue what the scene looks like out there. I played in Montana, Wyoming and Seattle (Seattle Center), Fukushima Japan (Jusco Disney Rave and 5th Mix ftw) on and off but never made it out there. I miss the traveling aspect of tournaments but I'm glad I'm settled down now. We used to have a good scene in Oregon but things really died down when the last public ITG2 was bought by a private owner. Extremes slowly started disappearing, then the final nail in the coffin (Supernova) came. ITG really seems to have been the factor that splintered the community nationwide though.

Why is there a need for a separate network, psun, and sows?

Despite not being a sows member. it sounds much better to have a separate eamuse network; one for sows and one for psun. The psun network could support older games such as Tricoro, Linicle etc, while sows' network could support the latest; Spada, SDVX, DDR2013 etc.

It seems the major way in which this affects non-sows members is the crackdown on leaks. I really hope it's not that instant though, I have 15% to go on my leaked Spada torrent.

Dumbasses like this are going to make it so there are never any new Bemani that we can play.

If you really want to get into the community and spend the time to cultivate the relationships necessary to play the games then by all means, do it. The more exposure leaks get and the more Konami knows the less likely we'll get new releases.

TBH I don't even like that there are Bemani threads on here. I like the sense of community but with streamers being stupid and a lot of this other stuff it's clear that there's a need for secrecy, at least for now. There was a scare like this in the past and I expect this not to be the last one.

Obviously with this recent issue it's become more public, but I heard at least 6 months ago that Konami knows about sows but turns a blind eye because sows isn't really hurting them. Obviously with Japanese people becoming more interested in these home setups it poses an issue to their money making ability.

Who knows, maybe Konami will just resolve to release a PC version of IIDX every few years; that would be good, because then we'd be able to directly support them, and we could get cheaper controllers.

i highly doubt konami knows and people are most likely just generalizing about it

the matter of the fact is that there is not a large enough audience for konami to have any thought of releasing any of their games here. the only games where it would have a slight chance is (possibly) sound voltex, which I would still put in the back of my mind.

i wouldn't ever expect to see a US IIDX release unless they made the game a LOT easier then it is on the arcade, otherwise people would just be complaining that it's too hard

re-replying to my old comment

but most likely because konami does not give a single shit as long as it doesn't grow huge. people streaming SDVX with 1000+ viewers (cirno's stream a long time ago) was a MASSIVE PROBLEM because it bought unwanted attention towards sows

as long as a massive amount of people don't find out about it and just go there for (lol free arcade games thx konami) then I suppose we're in the clear, unless konami decides to pull one because you don't know what they'll do

Imagine all the hit and runners and shitty leechers we have. The fact you need not just sows to get the data but other places to be able to run the data is great, since it puts a little more control on people freely playing the games.

>>12588854

It really doesn't. It just has arcade data, which is what everyone wants sows for, and soundtracks that wind up being available for direct download on animu forums.

I mean, yeah you could say the same for every site, but with sows when freeleech is on, there's nothing really to do.

I got a fake tatacon from a chinese website as a birthday gift. It's good, but the issue is that you can't really smack it the same way you would in an arcade.

There was a project done by some people at a university where they take a certain frequency and have that as an input, then put a microphone in a drum that they make. I was going to make one last holidays but didn't get around to it. I was going to use some fake leather and PVC pipe with rivets or something.

Still, how do I get animals? When I finish a game I don't get the zoo event, it just ends. Do I have to activate the event somehow? And what's this about combo songs?

When I was in Japan it was all automatic, but I'm not sure about how I'd go about configuring it myself.

do you have last update?, if you do, then the event is automatically on, even in the start screen is an icon of animals, well, about the "combo" songs, there are some song you can unlock be playing certain song, e.g. you play two songs related, and the third song you can play a secret song related, and then you can unlock it, i do suggest check out more info on remywiki.com/PnM_AC_SP, and you get animals to just playing songs, 1 when failing and 2 when clearing, and you can get more from bonus. that's all, i guess.

If you don't think the game's already being bootlegged to hell you're blind. Shit's been going on since like DDR 3rd Mix. If you've checked the facebook of everyone involved (again, real names because fisher price my first warez) it's clear to see this time there's something going on more than "the sources are getting nervous". >>12592421
I think, and someone can correct me if I'm wrong, that maimai cabs are a little inefficient because there are always two linked together and, if one person is using only one, the other cannot be used at all. Two people can play linked, but if one is used by one person, the other just sits there. I remember the little coin shelf where people reserve their spots being stacked so that people had to put coins on their coins on their coins

From what I know MaiMai hasn't been successfully cracked or emulated before. For 1 thing SEGA's encription is brutal and for another thing it would be near impossible to play without it being on an actual cabinet.

>> No.12593183

I'll explain why MaiMai isn't cracked.
1.) Game hasn't been dumped. (trivial)
2.) Sega Ring Edge 2 hasn't been cracked. The most likely person with experience working on sega hardware security isn't interested and no one's offering him money to do it. Unlike dj hackers, this guy expects to be paid for his work. Either in money or in gear.
3.) Neither Taiwan nor Hong Kong wanna touch this. They have plenty of other shit to work on, and slot machines are much more lucrative to bootleg.
4.) The game requires an implementation of ALL.net. No one is working on this and no one cares. This is absolutely necessary to offer all the features in the game. The game is crippled without it.
5.) There isn't a suitable input method for the game. No one in the western community wants to crack this game just to run it on a laptop. And no one is willing to invest time in creating an ASC, Even recent ASC attempts for sekret klub membars have been mostly a clusterfuck.
6.) Seriously, no one fucking cares.

There's actually a lot more demand for say, GGXrd, to the point where bootleg software copies are available for legit hardware but absolutely nothing for MaiMai.

Did I mention no one fucking cares? And good luck wishing and hoping and praying for it when Sega themselves won't bring it to AMOA. Neither BMI nor Raw Thrills have any interest in it. Last serious, premium games they backed were Pac-Man Battle Royale and Giant Tetris, and both of those were miserable failures. It's why Doodle Jump and Flappy Bird are more likely to have redemption games at Dave and Busters.

If you get lucky, maybe Round 1 will get it, US Round 1s get all the runoff from their Japanese HQ. But good luck playing it when the game requires a card to save your progress and you have to import one from Japan. Oh, and get fucked if they have a regional IP ban ANYWAY.

Maimai Orange in my country apparently got cracked so all of the songs and diffculty are unlocked from the get go. So it's apparently possible to play 'offline'.

If you're getting DAO buttons, get 100g switches. If you're getting Sanwa buttons, get 50g switches.

Dao doesn't let you customize springs, but you should know that if you buy sanwa buttons, they come with 100g springs default, and dao buttons, they come with 40g springs default.

You want the total weight to be around 100-150g.

If you were to get 50g switches with DAO buttons, it would only total up to 90g.

looking for a controller that's as similar to your arcade as possible? sanwas are very important.
if you're getting a PEE you should probably get sanwas. but if you're having trouble wrestling with the price of an FPS? don't feel bad about getting dao buttons

What PS2/PSX BM games are you guys playing?

Playing IIDX 3rd CS a lot recently. Really liking the songlist. All of the RnB/House is great. The game really changed after 8th or so in terms of what songs were licensed. Only real problem is the difficulty caps a bit low by modern standards but it's still probably my fave old mix besides Beatmania 5th Append for PSX. Been playing that too and I'm having a blast. Wish the HS mod was a little better. Another thing I always wondered was why custom mixes didn't show up, especially since the source for the game was included on the Best Hits disc. Enough rambling for the night.
