I tried putting the cardboard box background in the mod\back folder with the other backgrounds but it isn't selectable, and for that matter when I try and select the newer backgrounds like the break in or tatami it just starts with the default background. Do you have to do anything special to get them to work?

Most of the default backgrounds don't work except for house and field. I don't really know how it works, but if the folder contains the same amount of files with the same names like in house and field, then it should work. I'm not really sure why the box wouldn't work if you put it in the same folder as the other backgrounds.

How do yukkuri determine who they are going to refresh with when you shake them? I shook a healthy adult Mairsa and she bounced around back and forth with the usual wanna refresh dialogue but ignored all the yukkuris around her (remius, alices marisias, chens, myons none of them were her relatives). Finally after around 5 minutes of this she made a bee line for a half dead, shit smeared and moldy Patchy and fucked it to death. Then went away smiling and happy.
