Akagi is great because the protagonist himself is the most insane and intimidating person ever, and he fucks with his opponents' heads with brilliant strategies and psychology, and it totally draws you in.

Somewhere between these two. I understand the concept of "hands", but only vaguely. I try to get some pairs and shit, and I try to play it like poker. Like I try to get a bunch of bamboo tiles or something, tryin to get a flush. I just play it online in that one website, so sometimes it gives me the option to do that pon and kan stuff, but all I know is that it means I steal a tile someone else laid down to add to my hand, I guess. I don't know what the difference is between them all.


Really the only stuff I know is what I learned while watching Akagi. Which wasn't a lot.

I CAN make great hands, usually when I stick with a closed hand and try to build something and go into riichi, but sometimes I get impatient and call, and then I typically fall apart. I just need to be more disciplined.
