She's supposed to be a kasha, even if her appearance look like a nekomata, but in both cases, she's supposed to only have animal ears.

With those human ears, she doesn't even look like a youkai.

Also, you could just check the wikipedia. You can even read the English version, seems like someone translated Japanese youkai articles recently, so all the misleading bullshit that made people go "hurr Banki is a nukekubi ZUN doesn't know folklore" should now be gone.

No they aren't. They don't even belong to the same folklore archetype. Nukekubi are floating head vampires and group with things like penanggalan and manananggal. Rokurokubi are one of these "look, I have no eyes/monster face/other inhuman feature" monsters that run on the shock factor, like nopperabo and ohaguro-bettari.

Nukekubi are vicious little fucks and will kill you dead given the chance, rokurokubi will have you piss your pants and then buy you a drink to call it even.
