I'd love to see it done in a way close to Puchi Puri Yuushi; cute girls squabbling against each other but learning how to be friends with each other and saving the world together and stuff. And aimed at a shoujo audience.

(I say this because otherwise it might just join the compost heap of random moe shows and never be seen or heard from again. Aside from Shugo Chara, though, there are practically no girls-only shows on. This would be interesting and unexpected.)

Nah, the fandom would just change a lot. It'd become a lot more popular, but hordes of prior fans would disown Touhou because the voice acting would convince them that ZUN's vision of Touhou is not the true, ideal Gensokyo that exists only in their minds.

Now, let's be seriousfags for a moment here: It's like a book to movie conversion. It's very difficult to pull it off, let alone to do well. In each doujin an author has his/her own vision of what Touhou looks like, what Gensokyo should be, how the characters act, look, feel and sound.

However, once you create an anime, the director and voice actors have in essence wiped out that individuality that helped make Touhou so popular.

Perhaps ZUN also feels this way, I don't know. Just my semi-worthless opinion.
