You need to have contributed a minimum of 17GB before you can even touch the tricoro data. Unless you have some hot album that a lot of people want it can take several months to obtain that 17GB.

Instead of having to wait that long you might as well just grab it on public trackers right now. Use the game code.

>> No.12221839

Selling invites is explicitly against the rules, and there have been massive purges of users as a result of it. The admins are in cahoots with admins of other trackers where this type of trading typically occurs, and they browse fucking public places like 4chan.

Be careful, /jp/.

>>12221622
Because they try to not let many shitheads in in the first place. Not to say that they don't make it in, and not to say that most of the data isn't already out on public trackers by now.

The problem is that, if this data because too widespread, Konami will lay down the law on D HACKERS, and we'll be out of releases altogether. Konami is aware of Sows, and likely has members on Sows, and they seem to unofficially allow them to exist as long as they don't step on their toes.

>> No.12221858

>>12221839
People always say this but I'll believe it when there's some proof. Even if Konami legit "didn't care" about sows and all of the pirates on it, no corporation would be inside a private tracker that was dedicated almost exclusively to pirating its games and not do anything.

Either they don't have the ability to shut it down or they aren't aware of what's going on. Why wouldn't they shut it down otherwise? Who are they going to displease? American bemani players who provide them with 0 profits?

So taking advantage of the latest freeleech, I managed to get IIDX 20, Sound Voltex, Reflec Beat and PnM 21. Holy fuck, the guys at Konami really know their shit. All fantastic games.

Sadly I only have a small home PnM controller, but IIDX is still my favorite Bemani game. I live in a 3rd world shithole where for some reason Dj Dao shipping cost turns out to be exorbitant (see picture), and I haven't seen anyone selling a home controller here either. Also, I dislike watching people play Sound Voltex because I hate filters and flangers sound effects, but actually playing it is surprisingly fun.

It's a nice drop in replacement for IIDX DAOs and also works for SDVX/pop'n.

It gives your controller game-controlled lights so it's like the arcade. Also allows the turntable to report its absolute position so it acts like the arcade while having no input lag. It uses the same wires as DAOs and you have the choice to buy wires if you don't have any.

Everything worked on my first try which surprised me because I thought I would have to disable a bunch of network things. One of the things I don't understand is the 4 digit pin you're supposed to have to enter, I was able to play a few games under "standard" without having to enter one. Is that something you choose for yourself when you activate your account on psun in a web browser?

If you don't enter a pin, your card isn't used and your progress isn't saved. I had a hell of a time getting the thing to recognise my keyboard for it.

Just enter the same pin twice and it'll be saved to the network, then you just have to hit the card button and type your pin when you want to use it.

Primary position:
1 - Left ring
2 - Left middle
3 - Left index
4 - Right index
5 - Right thumb
6 - Right middle
7 - Right ring

Scratching (right thumb isn't busy with 5):
1 - Left thumb
2 - Left index
3 - Right thumb

Scratching (right thumb is busy with 5):

I have been playing Osu!Mania for slightly over a year now but the community is cancer and the ranked maps are horrendous, all i seem to play anyway are BMS and o2jam converts. Where do I go from here? do I beg for a sows invite and then buy an IIDX controller? or do I play LR2, or EZ2ON? sanwa buttons are whats used in the arcade cabinets but what comes standard with the controller is "djdao" buttons

the standard buttons are completely fine and i've heard it comes down to personal preference, but if you want to get close to an authentic arcade experience you would want to get the sanwa buttons

and like i said its cheaper to get them with the controller because you get a bit of a deal on them rather than buying them separately

depends on if you mean beatmania for ps2 or arcade rips for pc
there's a public torrent called "beatmania ps2 collection" that has every iidx game for ps2 except for the single american release that originally came with the ps2 controller that you want. the one i bought came with the game. it's not at all a bad one to start with, despite what people might say, and it might be the only one available to you if you don't have a modded ps2.

This is completely false.

There's absolutely no cons to playing random, besides getting the occasional bad random but you want those bad randoms to improve. Playing regular charts gives you bad habits.

You need to obtain the muscle memory of randomized charts or else you'll be only good at doing V another up and down chords.

Cons to using regular or mirror:

*The patterns in level 11s and 12s become repetitive and they are not the best patterns to hit for timing. Timing is everything in IIDX.
*Repeating the same song nonran will make you to play and rely by memorization. You do not want this. This is the worst thing because you can be learning the wrong thing and bad habits stick.

You don't want to learn songs by memory, but instead learn the song by how it feels and what kind of different randoms it can throw at you.

>>12266849
The more you use random, the more opportunity you will get to practice the patterns you are unfamiliar with. That is why you leave it always on.

If you're trying to pass something like diavolo another, it's OK to turn random off. This is just for practice sessions in general.

>> No.12266908

>>12266869
This will never happen as long as you are not actively memorizing the songs. A chart will stick after about 50 plays though, THAT IS when you should turn on random. But there's nothing wrong with playing regular before that because you're still playing against a unique chart/pattern. What's even the difference between playing a completely new chart and randoming it? You end up with unfamiliar patterns in both cases.

There is no such thing as "learning the wrong thing". Why would the designers go through the effort of charting a song so that the player can "learn the wrong thing"?

>The more you use random, the more opportunity you will get to practice the patterns you are unfamiliar with.
This does not explain how I could do 12/23/34/45/56/67 chords or the slides in smooooch[A] despite them very rarely appearing in regular charts. It's muscle memory, knowing which finger goes to what button, and random is not the only way to accomplish that.

>> No.12267007

>>12266908
>What's even the difference between playing a completely new chart and randoming it? You end up with unfamiliar patterns in both cases.

>*The patterns in level 11s and 12s become repetitive

By playing nonran all the time, your brain will be used to seeing stair cases, 1357 and 26 chords, bass on 1 key, etc. As density goes up, you're going to see the patterns you recognize but it would be more difficult to hit. You can't time what you can't hit.

The brain will remember nonrandom patterns unconsciously. You're going to remember how to hit certain patterns on time perfectly, which isn't a problem at all. But for patterns where you are consistently getting normal greats on, that can be a problem. It becomes more difficult to score as density goes up.

>There is no such thing as "learning the wrong thing".

Bad wording on my part, but I meant to say if you play a chart for the first time and are unable to hit a certain measure, you are very likely to hit it incorrectly again the second or maybe even tenth time you've played it on nonrandom. This is bad habit and it will stick. I sometimes lose all my health on One More Lovely's [A]s intro because I've played it nonran many times trying to hard clear it.

>random is not the only way to accomplish that.
I'm sure there are some irregular chart patterns has those kind of chords, just playing the game will help you improve. Using random will help you improve faster.

Oh yes, in that case I agree; I've experienced all of that while playing. I can hit stairs comfortably but GAIA always kill me. Every. Single. Time.

I'd say it's still worth doing regular at least once to see what the song was intended to be played though, THEN you can random to train sightreading and avoid repetition; I never knew Mei was a staircase chart until I played it with random off.
