If you had a moe robot anon, would you ever get tired of her? Knowing that she actually never fall in love with you, rather only programmed to accept you

Also, lol future birth rates

>> No.1226015

I could probably deal with it. Though the relationship would probably be more along the lines of her being a maid rather than a lover or a friend.

>> No.1226017

If she had no will of her own, yes I would grow tired of her.

How are human emotions anything more than complicated programming?

She'll probably give you some practice in how to deal with woman, maybe you'll grow confident enough to look for a real mate

If i was responsible for coding the said moe robot, i'll make sure she inserts subtle hints of "you mustn't get too attached to me master, I am only a robot and I can't do everything a real girl can do, like bearing children for you" in her conversations, particularly while she's being loved tenderly.

This hopefully results in either:

You becoming a normalfag, densha-otoko style and discards her like another plaything after finding a real woman

or

You BAWWWWWWWWWing and telling her she's more real than any real girl, two of you living together dispite society's disapproval then you dying in her arms in old age alone

Its simple to create real feelings in a robot, feelings are simply motivators that drive you towards doing or not doing something. As long as the code and algorithm act as a motivating force that responds to the environment and encourages behavior rather than direct cause effect, feelings are genuine.

There's no difference between a highly sophisticated 'AI' loving me and an actual person loving me, if the AI is complex enough (read: we don't have the technology yet, but we will eventually).

So, no, I wouldn't get bored, and yes, I would enjoy my robot waifu.

The brain consists on 3 parts the brain stem, the simplest of brains found in reptiles and other animals, this is basic brain function. "Robotic" response system and running of bodily functions. This is what most people image in a moe robot would have.

We have our second layer on top of that, the limbic, this is where emotions start. Emotions by biological definition is brain activity that motivates animals towards certain behaviors. Mammals have this. We like emotions because they ring true often times, they on average help animals survive and reproduce, however, there are times they do not, and because of this and because it is not just rational, it has a certain genuine feeling to it. This is all that robots need to have true feelings.

The third layer is cerebrum, where cognition takes place, computers can do rudimentary cognition, this is because this is the part we often find valuable in computers, and the part of the brain we are most self conscious about.

That'll be a pretty cool ending for a VN with a robot girl actually.

The robot girl kept trying to push her master away because he's getting too attached to her, and she's programmed to avoid that. So to be with her the protagonist cyborg-rised himself and she BAWWWWs and GOOD END

>> No.1226275

>>1226249
I'd also like to add, what makes feelings seem less true in robots is, we would create them ourselves and they aren't there already so we could make feelings cater to us, making them less genuine. The simple solution to that is, take that power out of our hands and into the factory's. The only choice we would have is picking robots that have already been built, just like how one would pick friends or romantic interests, if anon was able to do so.

MORE MOE, MORE POWER!

>> No.1226595

No anon think about the question from another direction.

Even if you have a real person waifu who loves you, can you guarantee the two of you will not have a change of heart in the future? Humans are fickle by nature and we get bored of everything given enough time. It doesn't matter if your waifu is human or robot, given enough time you will grow tired of her and stop loving her.

Your robot waifu on the other hand will always love you, for as long as she remains operational. It doesn't matter if you change heart towards her, doesn't matter if you die, it doesn't even matter if everyone who knows you have died and your name can no longer be read from your tombstone, her heart always remain true to you. She have to endure the pain of seeing infront of her her one love pass away, with no chance of ever getting over the grief and moving on with someone else.

And you have the nerve to think her love is somehow less worthy compaired to yours

If robots could be programmed to feel emotion then they could be programmed to 'die' also. In such case, she could simply die when you did, slowly winding down as you took your last breaths.
