Update your security certificate, guy who runs warosu.

>> No.12244984

It's warosuko

>> No.12244994

>>12244965
There isn't even a button to add an exception

>> No.12245006

Why is it named Warosu?
What is the entomology?

The Entomology is the scientific study of insects, a branch of arthropodology.

>> No.12245024

That's what you get when the warosus overload the server with CP webms. The guys at Mozilla found out (likely watched some) and blacklisted the site.

They're all afraid that it might contain a virus.

No surprise everyone who posts there is too dumb to figure out how to add a certificate exception.

But... I don't want to get a virus.

Is this the end for the Big W?

>> No.12245071

>>12245033
For some reason it doesn't work for me--adding the exception does nothing. Maybe it has to do with the fact that I do all my browsing through a proxy (just a VPS I have), but I'd like the certificate to be fixed regardless.

Actually, too many people were so dumb they always added security certificate exceptions, so under the 'every user is a retard' school of design, Firefox made it really difficult to impossible to add exceptions in certain cases. You can't add a permanent exception in many cases (including this one); the 'confirm' button just stops functioning unless you uncheck 'make this permanent'. Furthermore, in some cases, such as this one, there's no button on the error page itself anymore - you need to go all the way to your options -> advanced -> certificates to add them (again, permanent not possible). And after all that? In this specific instance it STILL refuses to allow you to connect. So yeah, I have to switch to Opera to check for posts between my last reading a thread and it going 404.

The exception link not appearing is usually caused by Firefox remembering Strict-Transport-Security hosts. This is a 'feature', not a bug. Telling Firefox to "forget about this site" will usually unfuck it. Or, do what I do, and just run in Private Browsing mode all the time. You really shouldn't ever have to store permanent exceptions, save for self-signed things you're running internally; site operators should get their shit together instead.
