I want to read Higurashi, is there a certain version I should go for? Should I go for the PS2 version? Or should I go with PC and get all the patches? I hear there's a graphics patch but is there also a voice patch?

I tried reading Higurashi a few years back. I was reading the mangagamer version, it was awful.
The cicada noises only looped for 5 seconds, the music was changed from the original, it just was bad.
I tried to look up ways to make it regular, but there were so many patches. I'm in the same boat as OP.
