Reading about the troubles of the western kig movement, sometimes I wish Yuri Tsukino was still around. She was one of the few western kigs who tried to bridge the gap. Even had a few ikkasai/dolphin masks and actually helped bring some light to the budding movement here.

I had this idea for a story a while back.

It starts out with someone buying a kig mask, but there's a twist. This mask has a chip inside of it that makes the mask take control of the wearer, turning them into a robot.

That person would soon install these chips into other masks so all kigs would be under a single command. They would then "infect" non-kigs and a "kig apocalypse" would soon occur.

They would capture citizens by hypnotizing them with their large, cheerful eves and then the mask would be put on the victim's head. Zentai would flow over their skin and then a costume would appear over their suit. Soon the entire population will be kigs because that is what we're destined to be folks.
