It's that time of the month again /jp/!
Rember to say 'rabbit rabbit' as you wake up on the first day of a new month and you will be blessed with good luck!

Thank you very much, Tewi!
When I woke up today, I said Rabbit Rabbit too because I wasn't sure if May ended on the 30th or 31st.
I'll make sure to say it for real tomorrow.

Scientists estimate that we will have to replace the gregorian calender at some point in the next five hundred years, since the exact length of a year is not exactly 365.25 days, and the remainder will eventually throw us off a full day.

Metric time is very interesting also, but I don't see us using that any time soon.

The Gregorian calendar actually has an average year of 365.2425 days. It is the Gregorian calendar's predecessor, the Julian calendar, that has an average year of 365.25 days.
The Julian calendar had an error of approximately 1 day every 128 years. This was the reason for the switch to the Gregorian calendar which has an error of approximately 1 day every 3300 years. Since it was set to be accurate when it was adopted in 1582, this won't be a problem for a long time.
The actual length of the solar year is approximately 365.2421897 days. This changes slowly over time due to numerous factors I don't fully understand, including unpredictable perturbations from the other planets. The length of the day also changes unpredictably. We have leap seconds added irregularly to account for this.

>wake up on the first day of a new month
I woke up and went back to sleep 5 times and remembered to say it every single time. By the wording in the OP that means that I get 5 blessings! This is going to be a super lucky month! I can't wait.

It's already working. I've been applying to several jobs for the last couple of weeks but I haven't been getting any replies. But just today I got accepted by two places, and one pays higher than any of the previous places I've applied to!

It might not sound like good luck to have to work but when you have less than $150 in the bank for the next three months, well, it's better than not working.

Thanks Tewi!
