Of course, this is the pregistration campaign. But it might look like the game is based on your location quite a bit. Possible events depend on people giving off their location to obtain regional specific mascots possibly? That would make the game unplayable for us unless there's a way to make a phone give off a fake location.

As far as I'm concerned, I don't think there's a relatively easy way to proxy the phone's location settings.

Guide on how to register and redeem rewards using Chrome:

Now you can register an account or login if you have already registered one, and claim your early register reward. You can change your location multiple times to receive different rewards from different zones (8 zones in total) once per day, 3 times maximum. Just re-enter the coordinates and emulate again.

Forgot to mention that you have to allow the site to have access to your location details. Not sure if I've missed anything else.

You do not need a VPN to do the above, but it is unclear if you need a VPN to actually play the game or not. If you're using your smartphone to register, you can use an android app called "My Fake Location" to spoof your location details. No idea if it's possible on iOS.

Correction, reward is one-time only. You can submit your location details to "vote" for your zone once per day. The higher ranked your zone is, the better rewards you will get.
