In any case, licencing the PS3 version is a lot smarter if you want to make actual sales.
The PC video game market is overloaded by piracy. Yes, consoles have some "free editions" going on too, but to a much lesser extent.

Look at all the cross-platform games that get a very delayed release for PC, or even no release at all. And I'm not just talking about small companies that absolutely can't afford commercial failures (such as VN companies). Even big franchises such as GTA or Street Fighter do it.

I'm looking to translate http://vndb.org/v10505 (Huge insertions are my fetish), but I don't know how I'd go about extracting (outside of ITH) and re-inserting the translated text. /hgg/ have suggested I contact someone at TLWiki, but I'd prefer to just go about it myself if there's a direct method I can use?

I've already checked the various tools on TLWiki, and I can get a document which has i) Fucked up text order (So the context is difficult), and ii) Is a huge wall of text with horrible formatting.
