How many players does /jp/ actually have? I personally find Eirin extremely fun to play. No mana costs, long range poke and sustain if played in lane with a lanemate.

There is a site called dotabuff. Click sort by winrate and it's my list of favorite heroes.

Aya was really fun for me, 2 escape machanics, 522 ms. You are literaly all over the map, and there no escaping you.

Such a shame too, source can be customized to hell and back and you would probably be able to have more than WC3 map size limit, so no more models like >>12107302 píc, probably would be able to use MMD ones with few modifications.

3 of 4 years it was very rare to have 5x5 games. But last year i just went to SEA group of players (taiwan mainly). Full games every weekends.
Also mainland china playing on their own lan client. It's not hard to get in and there's always 100-150 players with 4-5 games at a time.

DotS balance went different way there is almost no "pure support" every character can be a carry even casters, because for most skills damage is not fixed but calculated based on your primary attribute.
This however raises the issue, because balancing this many late game girls is nearly impossible. So, yeah there is like best ~10 picks and the rest weaker.

As far as i know full recorded games are only on bilibili. Youtube don't have them or they are totally old. (but i don't think watching bilibili is a problem, and they have Many games recorded there).

This guy talks true. Because dots map is large and carry characters are too carry-like you can win a game with 4 carrys 2 of wich are just plainly feeding 0-10.
Quick-win games must have a well organized team, what is impossible in random battles as there is only this type of battles in the dead world of dots.

Satori and Nyx are both mind readers. Koishi is able to grab and hold others with her cords in the fighting game so it's somewhat similar to hook and dismember. Lorewise her abilities would also allow her to silence others and make them reveal themselves while wounded similar to Bloodseeker's abilities.

I admit the ice theme doesn't fit for Tewi but the ability to kill allied creeps for profit, deny exp and give many kinds of annoying slows fits for a prankster. In PoFV her special bouncing ball spell card is somewhat similar to Lich ultimate. Ran has the power of killing things with spinning like Axe and acts as an aggressive initiator that takes hits for Yukari in many games. Kitsunes are also able to give curses similar to battle hunger ability.

These were my reasonings but if there's something that fits better please tell.

I guess Rot could be a swirling of thorned roses, and the passive could be anything since it doesn't have a visible effect in-game.

No matter how I think about it Koishi should be a stealth hero.

If Valve opened up the game to make cosmetics freely editable (which they never will, because of their income model) I imagine that it would become wildly more popular in Japan.

I've always wanted to get into DotS. But there is no way to do it with the lacking player base.

Okay, these Satori and Koishi ideas are plausible, allthought I didnt know that Nyx is a mind reader, but Koishi not being a stealth hero would be so silly.

It's hard to say whether these ideas should be based on the most memorable trait of each touhou or if they should be based on similar attacks like you suggested

Categorizing them in Radiant strength, Dire strength, Radiant agility etc. is good and logical. Maybe you should name it Dota2sort instead of just Dotasort.
