I don't really like any of the dusk games.
They all feel too sexual.

I have all three Arland games and Ayesha, but I've yet to play them.
Should I?

It is too sexual ever since Arland

What's wrong with that?

Escha & Logy is the best Atelier of PS3 until now

I was gonna get it when I get some more money in a couple of weeks. Are the others still worth playing though?
I actually just got them because I wanted to collect them.

Because it's not cute.
There's nothing cute about a young girl travelling the world with a dangerous criminal.

>> No.12086043

I'm a baby when it comes to the Atelier games, I just started recently with Totori and I really liked the fact that it's less lewd and more cutesy than your average japanese game

>> No.12086047

>>12086032
Just play them first and see if you like them.

You can always continue or stop if you don't , anyway

I'll rank Ayesha last since it's full of ear cancer (no Japanese audio)
Rorona sub par due to it's terrible gameplay

Ayesha lacking Japanese audio was actually the reason I never started playing it.

I did try out Totori for a bit and I really liked it. It has a nice, warm atmosphere.

I want to know if this line is actually real or just a joke, though.

>> No.12086056

I have Ayesha dual audio, but I don't have the motivation to play it.
Maybe when the new one comes out.

>> No.12086058

It's a joke based on the rating the australian institute for rating sexual content in videogames has given to the Totori game.

It's for 16 years old because of high impact sexual violence according to them.

Where I live it's rated for 6 year olds

The western video game rating is hilarious, they try to act so pure whereas the western games are way worse.

Like, there is nothing sexual in this image, right?

>> No.12086074

>>12086070
Nope, only if you have a dirty mind.
Totori is pure and nice!

Well, there are some sexual innuendos made by the huge amazon warrior girl character, and there is a whole event that revolves around getting most females characters to participate in a bikkini contest.
I was kinda sad when that happened, but oh well.
It's still one of my favourite games

>> No.12086078

But that's just Australia all the other western countries gave it a reasonable rating.

I'd say the picture is sexually cute. Come on, just look at her expression, pose and clothes.

I'm saying JRPG in general.

She's just sitting there with her normal alchemist attire on.
Stop having such a dirty mind anon.

It must be terrible to be a girl and to have every pose you strike and every wrong step you do have interpreted as an invitation for lewd things.

>> No.12086100

>>12086087
Easy. Don't get me wrong, I'm not saying that she's asking for it or something. I'm just saying that such a combination in that case is borderline arousing.

The way she's sitting, the way her left arm is covering her body, her skirt being pulled a bit because of that, her legs posture, and that look in her eyes. In that case, you'd probably want to do a bit more than hugging.

Can I understand Escha & Logy without playing Ayesha?

>> No.12090545

I really enjoyed their visual designs, but that's all I know. I haven't played Dusk yet.

>> No.12090647

>>12087102
As an Australian, I can confirm.
>>12086058
It's actually rated "MA 15+" which means it's restricted for sale to ages 15 and up, but since it and Meruru + are digital-only games, it's a pretty moot point. It's interesting to note that the original PS3 version of the game was given a 'PG' rating, which is available to all-ages.

>> No.12090658

>>12089836
You can but I don't think you'll appreciate it as much. There are returning cast members and the Dusk series has more of an ongoing story than Arland did.
