I am ashamed to admit that I do indeed call Cirno "sir-no." Not for lack of knowledge on the pronunciation of chi-ru-no pls no bully I can't type kana on my phone, but because it just rolls off the tongue easier and secondaries actually know who I am talking about when I enunciate her name

I call her Chirno because it seems kinda retarded pronouning a name with japanese syllables just because the maker is japanese. You only make a fool out of yourself if you do so.
The best example would be probably the name "Flandre", which is obviously a french term. So pronouncing it as "Furandooru" as a person who is not linguistic restricted to japanese syllables is absurd.

What about Nazrin? Is "Nazrin" even correct in the first place? I mean her name is spelled ナズーリン in Japanese, it seems ridiculous that they would elongate the "u" sound if it shouldn't be there in the first place.

Shouldn't it be "Nazurin"?
