Felis is a two handed sword, some of his work is pretty fucking awesome, others seem like he's going out of his way to fuck with you. The other Yuka picture I saw looking through his stuff wasn't nearly as cute.

Is this one Shizuha Aki? At first glance it looks kind of like what you would expect of Yuka, but looking at the detail the harvest theme and the autumn leaves decorating her seems to fit one of the sisters.

Way I see it is that 'average' youkai are basically all the stage 1 and 2 bosses with some exceptions. The villagers that venture into the wild or have jobs there usually have enough skill to keep themselves alive around these youkai, I dare say some die and are eaten while others escape or even defeat the weaker youkai, but it seems pretty common for Youkai like Chen, Mystia and Rumia to attack and eat humans from time to time but they aren't 100% successful.

Gensokyo humans have learned how to deal with their environment. They aren't as strong as average youkai and still fear them, but they aren't so weak they can't escape or use their intelligence. That's humanities strength against most youkai... they are smarter. Most the lower level youkai are pretty thick. The higher level Youkai that are highly intelligent seem to come to some kind of understanding or arrangement.

Lunarian's seem to a proven that a combination of power spiritual and technological power is the best. Humanity just has technological power now and is loosing touch with it's spiritual side, Gensokyo doesn't advance technologically with exception of the Kappa and Tengu who like to imitate humanity, but yeah, we know how Yukari is with that.

With the outside world, it's pretty simple really. Humans have numbers and their tools are advancing, these don't need a few strong spirited individuals to protect themselves any more when they can equip masses of people with fully automatic weapons.

Pfft. Ignoring the whole powerlevels crap this is turning into, it's important to remember that danmaku is just Gensokyo's duelling method. It doesn't truly represent the limits and strengths of everyone's powers, it's just a way for them to fight one another without fucking up their home.

When you get down to it, the higher level Youkai all seem to have some form of instant death ability and are intelligent enough to know not to place themselves in danger. It's better for them to just sit it out these days, even if they were to do what they probably did in the past and rule armies of humans or whatever and feed how they like there is still the chance they would be noticed and attempts on their lives made. In Gensokyo most can now TAKE IT EASY.

Actually, Utsuho controlled nuclear processes, which gives us something to measure against there. And,w ell, she basically had perfect at-will command of all forms of fission and fusion (making our meager arsenals of nuclear warheads look pretty impotent), and thus became a lvl6 boss. Though really, using stages as a measure of strength gets rather odd. Yuugi is clearly strong (NOT A DROP) but was placed at stage 3. Though I mostly agree, chances are the highest level of youkai have ways to defend themselves with their extremely loosely defined powers... but to be fair, it won't come up. Only the ones with the hottest heads are likely to fight openly and most the time they are kept on a leash by someone when they are like that (Flandre).
