This reminds me of how we used to have these threads on /a/, and how people then went off and found unsecured webcams so we could all look at random ramen shops, daycare centres, and people's pets.

Something close to this post was mentioned a long while ago and the general response was that a webcam inside a gym during health check-up day was seen and shirtless japanese 6? There are cams that already have a network connection port (wired or wireless). Basically you hook them up to a router and make them accessible from the outside. How that is done depends on the cam and the router. The manuals and Google should help with that.

Could there be a glimmer of hope for humanity?

Last Thursday I was watching the webcam of the station. It was more of the same really. Trains coming & going, commuter s shuffle home to there families, pets or anime figurine collections. when all of a sudden I notice a short scruffy looking chap stagger into view from behind the stairs on platform 1. I had not noticed him come on to the station, I knew this because he was extremely drunk. I could tell this because he had his knees locked together to keep him self upright.

At this point I was facinated with this situation. Considering I came here for the snow & had stayed purely due to habit. Next thing I know a train station employee came into view. You know the guys with the white gloves and the uniform. Anyway he just stood off to the side. He didn't interact with the drunk guy but his presence appeared to cause the drunk guy to sit up and he placed his bottle in a plastic bag he took from his pocket.

Next thing I know my phone rang and l was distracted for sometime. when I returned a train had arrived and commuters where shuffling off home. I tryed to locate drunk guy but amongst the ppl I had lost him. I never knew what happened to him. Did he stuble on to the train? And made it home safe. Or did some police arrive and take him away? I will never know. But for a short period in time I felt a strange connection to these ppl on platform 1 on a rainy Thursday evening in march.

I recommend Tsurugajo castle. When you come to Japan, you should visit Japanese castles.
Oouchijuku is also nice. You can see street of very old Japanese houses there and it's about an hour bus ride from Aizuwakamatsu station.
But actually I don't know much about sightseeing spots in Aizu since I'm living in Koriyama, at the center of Fukushima.
By the way you probably stop at Koriyama station to change trains. But disappointingly nothing special here in Koriyama.

The worst thing living in Fukushima is that we can watch few animes on terrestrial broadcasting. I have to wait for airing on satellite broadcasting for some days.
This isn't what you want to know? Okay. It's needless to say about restricted area.
Here in Koriyama radiation dose is still much higher than usual and it's not clear if radiation dose to this degree is bad for us. Actions to remove radioactive material are done, but the area is too vast to remove them all.
Some people even in Fukushima prevent their children from eating food harvested in Fukushima, whether it cleared the examination or not. Of course I don't blame them.
I think many people still in Fukushima have a mind of `acception`.

Well, let's not talk about this matter so much because this thread is not for such a thing.

I was visiting the other Fukushima cameras related to the site of Aizu Wakamatsu and they have some other quite interesting ones. This one, for example.

With FFmpeg I extracted one image every N seconds directly from the stream, then I rejoined all the images in one single video. Something like this:

ffmpeg -i "video stream" -f image2 -vf fps=fps=1/"N" -vframes "T" image%03d.png

(T = total images to capture)

ffmpeg -r "R" -i image%03d.png -c:v libx264 -r 30 -pix_fmt yuv420p video.mp4

(R = source images per second)

When done I converted the video from mp4 to webm.
