Hey /jp/ what are some good electronic Doujin bands related to Touhou? I found this image but it isn't quite helpful. If you could recommend some Breakcore with cute vocals or the like it would be appreciated, thank you.

I listen to a lot of UK / American Electronic music so I've noticed a lot of blatant song copying as well. I guess doujin circles don't really have to worry about anyone outside of Japan finding out or caring enough to do something about it. Electronic music is so huge nowadays anyway that it's hard to even point fingers since everything has already been done before.

If you actually listened to the whole CD, the whole album is a "parody" of western electronic music.
Every single song is based off another popular song, but it is a touhou arrange, and all the artist names used are parodies of western electronic music artists.

Probably should note that it's better to use their forum rather than just the front page. Their C85 and M3-32 threads are decently organized, and their request section is half-decent, usually someone will upload or link to an album if they have it.

>Chinese download websites
I find it's easier to just Google for baidu links ("site:pan.baidu.com album name")
Almost all public links will show up, if they don't show up they're probably behind Chinese point paywalls, so unless you actually want to contribute, you're not getting them anyways.

I like Shibayan, a few tracks from Syrufit and one from Cytokine.

I don't think Magico Catstrophe and Retro Future Girls are different than Shibayan's old stuff, I just think he's doing shitty stuff with vocals. For instance, Myon 7 would be the fucking jam if it were just instrumental.

I used to be really into 2hu, played all the games, was really big into the doujin scene, and collected a couple terabytes of music. Listened to pretty much everything in that OP. (White Lotus was shit, Liz Triangle's later stuff was much better) But I lost interest around 2010 - 2011, and haven't really followed it since. For some reason, though, I feel motivated to pick it up again.

So what are the biggest developments in the scene, in the three years I've been absent? What are the biggest groups nowadays, did anything big particularly impact the scene, and what are the best albums from that period, in your opinion? I hope this isn't a ridiculously stupid question (I don't often visit jp) but what does "Yukkuri Shittiete Ne" mean? Google translate is giving me the finger.

Literally "do it slowly." It's often interpreted as "take it easy," though.

Roughsketch is with IOSYS and released an album with most of his Touhou songs called Roughsketch toho works 2007-2012 and there's a few more recent tracks on IOSYS albums too
Also cubic loop records, rolling contact, sulfuric acid product, and login records are some I can think of/like

Rolling contact is like redalice on an off day. Just mediocrity piled on mediocrity.

Rolling contact might have a lot of filler, but honestly Amane is getting better(well, at original stuff at least) while Redalice is just getting worse.

IZMIZM - Revivify (no vocals)
LiLa'c records - with GOD (dnb with cute vocals)

sorry, but there's little touhou breakcore

I'll only list those who went commercial.

IIRC, REDALiCE and Masayoshi Minoshima do anime songs now. Nyaruko's OP and EDs were done by them. Same with IOSYS.

Tsukasa now works with Arte Refact mostly, a group composed of composers, mostly from 2hu doujin groups. Also does OSTs for anime too.

Lots of artists appear in rhythm games too, like SOUND HOLIC and Yuuhei Satelite. Also Senya = Mayumi Morinaga theories have been popping out. Don't blame Yuyushiki's ED for it though, it started in tricoro IIRC.

That's what I heard.
