This is Asteri (from Greek "αστέρι" meaning "star"). She is a space shrine maiden (space maiden?) who lives in a shrine on the Sun and is a master of 4th dimensional space. She came to Gensokyo to study the creatures that live there and their danmaku powers. She also loves techno music and enjoys playing adventure role playing games like Dragon Quest and Monster Hunter. Meet Juuko. She's the tsukomogami of a Type 99 rifle. She came to be because the rifle was angry that it was not being used to remove chink and/or kimchee. I actually started to make this one here.
She's a yokai or ghost that is pretty much the balloon itself. It's forever attached to her arm like pic related.
She visits the human world during wars and assists soldiers that are hurt or terrified, and sometimes she accidentally helps an already dead soldier's ghost because she can't tell the difference.
