Yes, absolutely yes, this is better, much better.

Having a REASONABLE amount of space for standing up, stretching, and getting dressed, that is better.
Also a reasonable amount of storage for, say, suitcases, bags, backpacks, whatever the lone surviving entrepreneur / NEET needs.

Loads of these and even slightly larger would make great semi-permanent homes as well for the single person. (more half-way between home and hotel, almost like a dormitory in fact with shared public spaces but private rooms)

Me right now, I have quite a bit of shit in this room.
Thing is, I could get rid of at least 70% of it easily. Most of that stuff could be converted to digital formats, DVDs, videos, papers, all capable of going on to hard drives easily.
The spare laptops, computers, easy to fix up and sell on Ebay and the like.
Consoles, sell all but most recent, emulate the rest on godly PC. (besides PS3 really since lolCell)
Said PC having plenty of storage and it will be finished hopefully in the next month whenever my fucking graphics card arrives.
The rest of the shit in this room is merely decorative, support structures, and chair+bed.
Clothes can go in to a backpack, computers in suitcase, there is me, I am now portable.
I could even throw in a small cooker and microwave oven alongside that if I feel like doing some home-cooking.
I have very little care for much outside of that.
I'd happily live in something like these, as long as they met a few basic requirements like I mentioned at the start.
Equally if they also sold storage space / lockers, that would bring them even more business. (admittedly they'd also need some insurance and security, which increases costs ever so slightly, but worth it, very much so)
