I got so fucking close to 1CCing with Yuuka. Fucking Shinki.

I've been tryin to 1CC LLS on Hard, but I keep fucking up on Reimu.

I've been on a wild ride trying to 1cc lotus land story on normal or hard mode.

Why did zun remove the fanservice in the windows games? Back then, the girls wore less in the ending shots the higher the difficulty level you cleared.

The first time I got to that attack, I said NOPE and haven't played Reimu since. The entire Stage 4 bit is worth it just for the extra edge on getting out of range.

That's true - I guess I just didn't notice the telegraph since it was my first time seeing her. If I ever manage to 1CC I'll go back and try with Reimu

Do you need an emulator to PC-98 or can you dl the games and play them by default on windows now?

Yeah, you need to get a PC-98 emulator but get the T98-Next emulator as that gives the best performance on running the games. And with the PC-98 Touhou games, just dig around and you'll find some download links that will get you the 5 games.

I've 1CC'd every game on Normal and beaten the Extra stages. Also, cleared both routes of HRtP on Lunatic. Shingyoku, Rika, Meira, Kotohime, Yumemi, Chiyuri and Sara are all great.

I've just recently downloaded all of Akyuu's Untouched Score, and woah, PC-98 soundtracks is also great like the windows games

I don't know why; but I prefer PC-98 era slightly more.. I guess its because it has a homey feel too it, and its graphics are nice to look at.

And how I wish I could make a comic about Louise leaving Makai.

Lotus Land Story is probably the easiest Touhou game aside from stuff like max lifes IN or POFV with Medicine. The other games are tough enough though.

HRtP and LLS are both pretty easy. Mystic Square and Story of Eastern Wonderland are a lot harder, with MS being the harder of the two I think

The only thing I don't like about Akyuu's Untouched Score is their rendition of Blade of Banishment. Akyuu's version is a lot more chipper and upbeat than the original was

I love how "dungeon-y" the original sounded, especially with the opening. Some of that tone was kind of lost in the newer one, which I think is a shame

She's really easy once you learn her though. Most of what she does is static (including the yin yang orbs I'm pretty sure) or aimed. She also doesn't have a randomized attack cycle like Marisa. Maybe make a save state before her so you can practice a bit to get her attacks down before you do more runs. It'll help a lot.

Speaking of emulators, is anex86 considered good? Its the first emulator I've been using, and its working pretty well.
However; I have noticed that the games have "slow down" moments, and at the worst times too.

anex is lightweight compared to next/np2, which i assume is the draw for a lot of people so they can avoid slowdown/lag. so it's odd that you're having slowdown... could be a config issue but i'm not the guy to ask. maybe another anon knows or you can try the config stickies in motk's tech support forum

next and np2 are more accurate. anex has various issues; i don't remember them all but i know it doesn't properly emulate the music. i'd recommend giving one/both of the others a shot and see what works best on your setup

If I recall correctly, that is an issue based on the clock setting. Go to your settings and fiddle with the CPU clock setting until it seems normal. Auto works for most people I believe, but I had to use 66MHz
