Hm my thesis had to do with pinpointing radiation sources using scintillation type detectors. Spectroscopy was kind of fun too. I guess classical/relativistic mechanics and electromagnetism were the subjects I got the best grades in, but nuclear physics was probably the most fun. I'd prefer to do something practical, like medical physics or working at a power plant.

If you are in no hurry, I'd suggest looking around for international companies with a section in Japan and just start in Sweden and then re-locate to Japan. That way you have both money and a job before moving.

I'm working at Autoliv right now so I know they have a section in Japan. Not sure what other companies have this but you can probably research that on your own.
