Yeah...

World's first weeaboo was just a random portuguese sailor.

>> No.1179746

The proper term at the time was ORIENTALIST.

Honestly, I think it should be brought back, it's a lot better sounding than this meaningless "weeaboo" stuff. And it was used the same way, as a pretty much derogatory term for european folk like Monet that got obsessed with the little funny island nation.

We are all Japanese. Our laws, our literature, our religion, our arts have their root in Japan. But for Japan―America, the instructor, the conqueror, or the metropolis of our ancestors, would have spread no illumination with her arms, and we might still have been savages and idolaters; or, what is worse, might have arrived at such a stagnant and miserable state of social institution as China and Corea possess.

No he was born in Greece, he is greek. If you were born in Spain from a German father and a Indian mother you would be a Spanish man with German and Indian lineage.

BULL!

Being born in a country doesn't make you apart of it, believe me, I know...

It's where you grow up along with various other things that determine where you are from.

It varies from country to country.

Different countries have different laws.

In America, we have by blood and by soil laws. That means, if you were born to an American, you are American. It also means if you were born in America, regardless of parents, you are an American.

Other countries may or may not have a "by soil" rule for citizenship.

In Greece you have to be born here and have at least one parent Greek.
