Those having trouble downloading from Baidu, check the thread for alternate uploads. Otherwise good luck, theres a few instructions on what to do with them near the top of the thread.

Thank you for your kindness, but we had a screen explaining how to use baidu in the previous threads. Can you suggest in stead some good communities with doujin music (self-rips and such)? I'm experienced astost user and kinda imagine that it is the biggest community, but still…

Yes ofcourse. for english speaker i recommend doujinstyle.com. they have largely uploader from japan who share with you for free and soon after the festival. doujinstyle cover not only comiket doujin music, but also from M3 in japan, which is another large festival special for doujin music. to find music there, use download section in there forum. they have many threads there.

however lots of people know that chinese has faster upload than eng, more chinese read japan and we have more translate/scanning team to make work into chinese.

here is 1 i use lots, all in chinese but super resource. this thread is for comiket 84, and has over 160 cds already. http://www.tsdm.net/forum.php?mod=viewthread&tid=381471&extra=page%3D1

also here is another http://bangumi.tv/ which is godlike resource for all chinese. these two sites i mainly use.

at this year's BOF, someone from china made it into groundbreaking 2013 with an original song made from V3 sources, the password is the name of the song (lower case, no spaces).
Someone from this group also applied their song to ios for their next rhythm game, at the highest difficulty level, the song's beatmap (?) is the highest amongst the starting songs. I've been playing this rhythm game a lot lately, and spent a lot of money. Which game is this? (11 letters, the only capitalized letter is the one right in the middle)

you want to look at albums released on tokyo mob squad. bastard pop terrorists is a great start on jcore. exit traance is good serious, with high speed compilation remixing anime OP and EDs exclusively by very good artist like hommarju, MK, latte and Shoujo. for dubstep you can hear at other famous doujin music festival call "M3". It's an issue with your locale.
That text should be "物凄い回しちゃう鍵山さんが物凄いうた", it's encoded in Shift JIS, which is a Japanese locale, but your machine is trying to decode it in Windows-1252.
If it's a cue file, it's an easy fix. Open it in Notepad++, "Encoding->Character Set->Japanese->Shift-JIS", then "Encoding->Convert to UTF-8"
If it's an MP3, you have to either retag the files, or you can repair them with a foobar plugin called Chacon.

quite a lot amount of chinese reside in japan. many chinese youth make ambition to live in japan to experience all sides of japanese culture. some chinese youth are big fans of the anime, manga, doujin, cosplay, and other moe culture to live. so basically, you are right. lots of chinese go to japan, learn and experience, and go infiltrate comiket and bring culture back to china to share and promote.

very true! numbers in taiwan for people who enjoy moe culture are slowing a bit, as demand from mainland china has increased very much in recent years. often with serialized manga, chinese scan teams located in japan buy immediately, and translate the whole night to bring readers the chinese version the next day.

also popular light novels are translated immediately. also, almost all light novels can be found on the chinese web in a ebook format (epub) for reading on cell phone or tablet. light novel craze in chinese middle school and high school is brought to light by media. there is a trend of kids bringing ipads to school and reading light novel at school together, or on their way home during train and bus ride.

moe culture is spreading very fast, and not in just men. women are getting into cosplay and lolita fashion, and in cities such as shanghai, macau and guangzhou there are cosplay festivals (committed chinese people are very very serious about cosplay). in neighbourhoods you can find shops selling anime manga and light novels in japanese, almost like akihabara. we have maid cafes as well!

i went to a lot of comiket, recently every time i can go i go. my first was c79, and i have been to c81, 83, and 84. as I live china most of the time, if i spend time in japan i usually do not go just for comiket, but allow myself to stay for one or two weeks since i cannot always ask to get off work (thats why i go to winter comiket, much more convenient schedule).

the first time i went was the most memorable. i spoke little japanese but was accompanied by my japanese-speaking chinese friends from university of tokyo. a bunch of us chinese agreed to meet at akiba station over forum online and we could make our way to comiket together. they were very experienced in buying at comiket, and patiently explained to me what circles are, and which artists to look for.

it was around 5am we woke up, and arranged to meet in front of the station at 6. we made our way there, but already there were many many people who line up overnight and days before to become first to enter the big sight. for many hours we waited in line and i made friendly conversation with the people i came. we looked and passed off as japanese as well, since another group of guys who lined up immediately after us made conversation with us in japanese. i couldnt speak very well, and remained quite reserved and polite while my friends were able to laugh and share stories. it was good practice for my speaking anyways, so i thought it was very cool.

we didn't really get in until around eight or 9 oclock in the morning. but the sheer amount of tables was quite baffling. i had been to conventions and meet ups in guangzhou, but nothing of this density and calibre. immediately we split up to purchase doujinshi and music. the popular circles had huge lines, so it was more efficient to purchase for eachother. i however wanted to see the whole place, and simply asked my friends to buy for me what they are getting. so i spent the majority of the morning and noon browsing the circles with another guy. we also talked with the artists and stuff and bought a bunch of random doujinshi and music along the way.

china has lots of population so even though we have many moe-obsessed youth it is still a significant minority. plus its also in college this thing happens, where you have students in their second or third year suddenly losing motivation and refuse to exit their dormitories because they have become shut-in. chinese media is very opposed and always sensationalizing this demographic

Chinese I think is just lots of people. you have one album i have one from another circle. why not let's share to complete eachother and help promote moe-culture and make it more accessible? its that mentality. its a very big community who have unite against other people who look down on moe-culture.

also as for circles trying to reach out for chinese people, im sure that's already happening. last time i went there were instructions on how to attend comiket in chinese given to me by japanese man. as for the artist themselves they know that they have a LOT of chinese fans, and often i think chinese fans send emails to show appreciation, and artist will reply back in chinese to show mutual respect. i think it is soon before there is more chinese content at comiket, regardless of the china-japan relationship right now.

also i've noticed in both japan and chinese people who enjoy moe-culture actually get along very very well, despite our governments differences. we dont really care about our governments and just want to share our passion of moe!

>Why do you think the Chinese are so willing to share rips of their music?

My impression is it's not that the Chinese fans are more willing to share, it's just that there's simply WAY too many Chinese fans than Western fans. That and as pointed out by >>11800206 official releases are already quite robust so fans can focus on the smaller stuffs and so on thus we got more things from the Chinese than from the Western side.

>There are white people that attend comiket and they share fuck all
That applies to Chinese fandom as well, I think. I mean, for instance when I lurk the sad panda threads on /a/ and of course check sad panda itself, there's often cases of Chinese scanlations of H-manga or doujins being available but not the original Japanese raws.

Taking no signal as a multiplication indicator (3x, xy, etc), then you should probably use powers.

MyonMyonMyon! would be Myon^3!

But technically that is incorrect, because there is a factorial and it has priority when solving it.

So the correct way would be something like Myon^2(Myon!)

But for the sake of practicality, we should stick with Myon^x! or simply Myonx!, since the factorial is already screwed up.

LAZ's new album on Pastyle was nice, he's experimenting with genres other than Drum & Bass (mainly electro house) but he's not that great. Hopefully he sticks to what he knows as Pastyle is the undisputed best Drum & Bass touhou arrange label around right now. Album of the event so far is probably Massive Circlez/MNK's ARATOSHI or Druggy's Acid Rack's Chaos Regeneration.

I keep running into Brostep tracks on the occasional J-Core album which is irritating but doesn't kill the album, although I did feel that TANO C REMIXES 3 had too much of it on there.

Also took me a while but I finally got around to listen to all the three Metamorphosis mini-albums from DJ TECHNORCH and they were all pretty good. Nice to see FFF and Gancher and Ruin on them, FFF didn't disappoint.

Somewhat unrelated to C85 but Ryu* released and album under his 青龍 alias last year which was a pretty good Hardcore album, so I'd recommend that if you're into his style.

I really need to get around to listening to AD: Trance 3 but after the literal aural cancer of AD:Drum’n Bass, I'm tempted to never listen to any Diverse System ever again.

I have two groups for Touhou remixes: "better than the original" and "worse than the original". I don't think Gameness is a poor arrange, but it definitely wouldn't fit in the first group.

I missed the vocal arrange by Hotaru. It's okay. At least it isn't whatever the fuck Sally and Liz Triangle were trying to pull.

Do /jp/ mind showing me how they organize their Doujin music?

I'm thinking of creating a Doujiin folder instead of a Touhou one since there are some non-Touhou albums. And then create subfolders for each Comiket/M3/RTS.

It's still not perfect. He hasn't got "defeat audio cache: yes"

It's also good to rip to multiple files (i.e. have all the songs have their own flac file, rather than a single flac file for an entire album) so that it's all recorded in the log and makes it easier for everyone.

Neither of these are enough of a concern to harass the uploader anymore, but he should keep them in mind for next time.

Oops, I missed that. Yeah, you should turn that on for future rips, but there's no reason to re-rip anything that doesn't have it enabled, as it looks like it didn't affect your rips at all.

>It's also good to rip to multiple files
This is really an opinion, and doesn't really affect the rip quality at all. Some people prefer range rips over split tracks, but if you plan on uploading them to any sites that regulate audio quality, you'll probably want to rip them as split, since range rips usually aren't welcomed on those sites.

I tested audio cache with Feurioe (since EAC said it doesn't) and I got:
Maximum transfer rate: 14385 kBytes/Second
Cache size for audio data: 18 kByte

Should I turn Audio caching on?

For generating split FLAC files, the Test + Copy selected tracks option would split the files according to the cue sheet with non-compliant gaps correct?

>> No.11810226

>>11810204
I think you can turn it on even if your drive doesn't cache audio data. It won't hurt anything.

As for split tracks, I don't really know what you mean. The Test+Copy Selected Tracks splits them based on the times, and depending on your settings, appends gaps to either the end of the previous song or to the start of the next song. It's almost universally said that gaps should be appended to the end of the previous track, which I think is the default in EAC. The non-compliant cuesheet just indexes the time where gaps are appended, so the audio CD can be reconstructed correctly using the split tracks.

>> No.11810229

Yeah I misunderstood the cue sheet thing, no worries.

The hydrogenaudio guide says this: If EAC reports "Caching : No", it is not necessary to enable the flushing routine. Checking the "Drive caches audio data" box with drives that are reported by EAC as not caching will not improve EAC's accuracy. It won't improve EAC's ability to detect errors nor EAC's ability to correct them. What it will do however, is reduce your ripping speed and shorten the life of your drive.

But as you guys say it might not matter since I'm not going to be ripping 200 albums or anything.

>> No.11810304

Purely opinion. Doesn't affect rips quality in any way. I personally prefer range rips over split due to the fact that you can please both those who prefer those who prefer range rips and those who who prefer split by splitting later if someone requests specific tracks.

>> No.11810318

>>11810304
If you're ripping to multiple files, EAC's checking CRC of every single track instead of the single image. It's useful when you have problematic cds and such. Closed audio communities also require ripping to multiple tracks giving you another explanation.
From personal experience of a man who ripped more than 100 cds I can say that it's useful thing.

Encoding speed, Decoding speed and Compression ratio are based on each encoder's default settings and are taken from the most recent lossless codec comparison mentioned at the links section of this page. Encoding speed is very fast if > 150x, fast if >75x, average if >40x, slow if >20x, very slow if <20x. Decoding speed is similar but thresholds are doubled, i.e., very fast if >300x, fast if >150x etc. Thresholds for compression are at 56% and 58%

For sure, you can get a range rip to be as bit-perfect as a multiple file rip. One issue is what >>11810318 says about any errors that occur on the disk.
Another is if I split the flac myself, which I do to listen, then want to share the album with someone else they are dependent on trusting me to have split the album properly. There are programs that split files using the cue and don't retain all the information. If the original uploader has ripped it to multiple files there is no need for this trust/hope that users have split correctly as the data is recorded in the log

>> No.11810815

>> No.11810824

>>11810815
I'm pretty sure that result means your drive does cache audio, and I don't think you want that (you want EAC to read directly from the CD, not the cache). So you should probably turn it on.

>> No.11810834

>>11810815
You want to defeat audio cache. In theory it doesn't matter since if requested it would read the cd again and ignore the cache if that's what was asked. In reality though it might read the cache again, rather than the data on the cd which is bad (considering that EAC rips are considered good on the basis that it reads the disc multiple times to ensure accurate data).
A similar deal is with the C2 pointers. Theoretically it's good having another program point out some errors, but in reality it's bad so that's why C2 pointers aren't used.

So on a log you want to see
Defeat audio cache : Yes
Make use of C2 pointers : No

Likewise, theoretically you can damage your drive if you follow EAC settings. In reality though you won't be damaging it (if the testimony of people that have done thousands of rips is anything to go by).

Solid, but disappointing compared to previous release(s):
EastNewSound (the fuck is Kokuchou doing?)
Shibayan (props to yana and izna though)
ESQUARIA
Diverse System TRANCE/REMIXES (Nhato's were pretty much the only good tracks)
Circle Jerk Galactic
Paroxysm (he'll never live up to Stance on Wave, maybe set the bar too high)

Alstroemeria (definitely an improvement)
dBu (tr. 2 and 3, yes lord usagi)
pastyle

efs
Druggy's Acid Rack
Gift
Happynation
AlliumProject

Dope shit:
Cosmic Record (even ignoring the old tracks, Taishi's definitely still got it)
