Unfortunately there really aren't many circles that can be considered similar to bands like Animals as Leaders, Symphony X, Opeth, Dream Theater, etc (Except Magnum Opus, Snowman, and Demetori for obvious reasons). Tutti's film musics are well made, I'd say, although nothing that fantastic to me.

This first one's even got guitars. Not very movie-like, but it certainly adds to the otherwise bland song, along with those... castanets?

Second one is boring, but at least the keyboards bring out the theme.

Third one has some cool electronic effects here and there.

I think now I can sketch a conclusion: when they stay orchestral-only, it's boring as fuck. But some flavor is added when combining other stuff.
But the flavor is too diluted into the formulaic movements.

Just watched the 51 minute long Game PVs video looking for some innovative mechanics.

It seems only the Leap Motion one has something unseen, but I'm not sure I fully get it. Anyone with me?

Also the Kagamin Ganbarimasu seems to have an unusual gameplay, but not very amusing due the slow pace.

The shooters are some nice eyecandy to me, but I already got a ton of these in my to-play list, so overall I'm glad I am not really looking forward to any game in this Comiket, cause waiting for rips and then fixing localization is always a hassle.

This game is harder than I expected.

The game isn't too long; just three stages + an extra stage. Stage 2 is basically a harder version of the second stage of EoSD, and stage 3 combines both stage 3 and 4 of EoSD. The difficulty level jumps pretty suddenly in stage two and I ended up using continues to beat the game. Extra mode unlocks even if you use continues.

For a game that's about 30 MB, I thought it was pretty fun.

What I am trying to figure out is whether the Kancolle bgm is that superior than Touhou music.

You know, the several themes to the touhou characters can be felt unique and helps in characterizing the numerous, even gigantic number of diverse touhou characters.

Event music, mostly. But I don't think the girls in Kancolle are unique or endearing because of their themes. Rather, you tend to get sentimental about your team after running through so much bullshit together. The game isn't hard, don't get me wrong, but it's heavily luck-based and certain event maps can require day-long onslaughts, so you gain a sense of camaraderie with the girls when you slug through them, and are elated when your fleet finally succeeds.

The crafting system seems simple enough and I can field test the options(shmup kind) I make.

Something that's been bothering me for a while is this orange text that pops up during specific enemy spellcards. Anyone nice enough to tell me what it says? I'm guessing there's something special I can do to get special loot to drop during these types of spells, but frankly, I can't figure them out.

Also crafted 1 of everything I could after abusing how some things I can make sell for far more than their component cost. Turns out that 200k weapon crafts into a 1 million selling accessory which allowed me to buy base components to the point I could have 1 of everything I could make. Far too many accessories for me to check all of them, however, notable stuff includes a full PoC screen, insane bomb damage increaser, and a speed increaser that makes me as fast as ReimuAya not shooting in SA. Also, the damage increaser accessories don't work with the options so it turns out the nuke combined with bomb damage screws over every single boss stage.

New notable weapons include Remilia's Gungnir blasts, giant sunflower shots, and Prismriver weapons including a full orchestra weapon from when they're all combined. The symphony is a great stage weapon.

Also, during the downtime, I beat the game. The last stage is unlocked after crafting an ingredient on the last page. It requires several different boss drops to actually make. I won't spoil anything since the last stage is really amazing. Even if I was powerful enough to the point I could trivialize it.

Right now, I'm at 130/150 crafts and everything left is either a boss drop or looks like it requires a boss drop.

After doing some testing, I've figured out Marisa(second stage of first level), Keine, and Byakuren, but not Sanae from the first two levels. Outside of that, I get Alice's secret item from her fight in the sixth level, but I've never not gotten it and am not exactly sure why it just drops.

For Marisa, simply wait a while, near the end of her spellcard, she throws out a magic circle that drops the secret item.

For Keine, wait a bit, you'll get a net to your left around the middle of the spellcard, you need to hit an obstruction on the bullets on the left side of the screen with the net. Be careful not to break the net with your own bullets.

For Byakuren, just timeout the card. It spawns in the lower right of the screen after it's done.

The secret item from Marisa is the one item I needed to create the final weapon in the nuke chain. It covers nearly the entire screen. It also has limited uses making it practically pointless in comparison to the first two in the chain.

Marisa's secret item is also amusingly enough a very impractical weapon.

A suicide bomb. Hits full screen, instant kills anything. Will automatically force the next stage of a boss. Uses up one life no matter what.
