Hi /jp/

So, I know some guys who want to run some kind of another crappy site with anime, manga, japanese music and japanese games download. They're quite a bunch of kids and don't know where to ask, so i'm doing it in their place. The thing is, is it legal to upload there games purchased at comicet etc? Personally i'd give shit about it, but guys who want to run that site had some unpleasant experiences with police (because of uploading some files, or something). Anyway, do you have any solution for that problem /jp/? Is it "not that illegal" to upload stuff from these kind of sales?

What country are they in? As long as it's not Japan I'd say they're in the clear.

It's "not that illegal" in the same sense that pirating music or other software is "not that illegal", chances are low you'll get busted but of course it's illegal.
