Let me share with you a little secret.
Being a NEET involves not working, so the best course of action is to get others to work for you. If one wishes to be a Master NEET, one needs to be good at manipulating others. So hone your charisma and wit.

CEOs and corporate bosses are, in fact, Master NEETs who get everyone else to do work for them. Same goes for women that use sex appeal to get saps to provide for them and get free stuff.

>> No.11764292

>>11764289

CEOs and corporate bosses do tons of work though. They are very anti-NEET.

The thing is that working is like a virus, and a virus isn't satisfied if it just takes over your arm or your ear - it wants the whole body. Same with working. You'll never be happy with what you have if you work. So stay NEET and stay safe!

1) Only a very, very small number of people have hit it large enough to retire at <30.

2) Of those who could do so, few did, for whatever reason.

Again, it doesn't make any sense to work.

They aren't NEETs, that's a stressful job.

Real NEETs that still rake in money are stock investors/traders. If you have the money to start, putting money in stocks you know are going to do well, like Google/Intel/IBM, is basically just an almost 100% sure way to earn money without doing anything, and you can earn a lot of money too.

Thanks to the internet you can do it online and not have to go to a physical stock exchange.

Or you could just get lucky, such as being born into a rich family. I understand that a lot of them have earned their money but it bothers me very much how much money a person makes has no relation to the amount of actual physical work a person does and what they actually contribute to society as a whole.

I also get extremely jealous seeing rich and even upper-middle class people posting the expensive things they own on 4chan. I fantasize about breaking into their nice houses and taking all the things they probably don't deserve.

Okay I guess I can be a hobo. I could always buy a van for $1000 or so and maybe get a 24 hour gym membership so I have a place to park it and shower. Or I could use the Wal-mart parking lots, they allow RVs and overnighters last I heard. Theres always free wifi available somewhere too it seems.

I assume you live with family or something, guess thats how a lot of NEETs here support themselves. Do you have any work experience and if not what is your perception of it from what you've seen in media or talked to other people about?

Do you have any plans to sustain yourself in case something where to happen?

You can't just walk up to a stock exchange and ask to buy stocks. Only a number of registered brokers are allowed to place buy/sell orders on behalf of their clients. Commission is relatively large for small investors so you have a serious handicap from the start.

Besides, in what cases would a NEET on /jp/ know that one stock is going to rise ahead of all the professional analysts and fund managers in the world? Unfortunately there aren't many stocks that are related to VNs and anime. Putting money in a basket of blue chip stocks will never make you a fortune unless you already started out with one.

And finally, putting your money on the line is far more stressful than working a normal job. Perhaps even more stressful than actually being a professional trader.

If something happens, I'll go get some crappy job. At that point no one else would probably hire me, at that age and no work experience they are probably thinking something is wrong.

Maybe I'll just lie and say I worked for a late family member. (So they won't bother calling them or looking into it, I hope)

>>11764364
Yes I know the way it's done is through a physical broker which is what I should have said. I know the large majority of people don't actually go to stock exchanges but had a slip in thought.

I am talking about online brokerage services, like Ameritrade, Scottrade, E-Trade, etc. Which yes, it is practical to use them, you can even let a broker automatically handle your money instead of manually investing/trading if you want too.

What I'm saying is that if you throw some money into a company that isn't going anywhere, e.g. Intel, and let it sit, you're going to receive money back.

You might be talking about rapidly trading stocks, which takes more knowledge. But investing and letting it sit for a while and making a trade on rare occasion, you can do that by yourself.

As the last male successor, If I somehow manage to reproduce, I might inherit large amounts of money.
But how will I manage that? I have no Touhous around me, are there any cute girls on /jp/ willing to procreate and take it easy with me?

Okay, so on average you're getting a few percentage points more return than a risk free savings account, but with much more volatility. I'm not seeing how this is going to replace one's day job.

It's funny how many individual traders overestimate their ability to beat the market. Dunning-Kruger effect at its best... If you really had such skills then any bank or hedge fund would gladly pay you millions a year to trade for them.

Two scenarios:

1) Eight people flip a coin three times each. One person gets three heads in a row and claims to be a master coin flipper and brags on the internet about their coin flipping skills. Four people who mostly got tails leave the scene altogether in disillusionment, while the three remaining people who got two heads stick around thinking they have some knack for it.

2) Eight people flip a coin three times each. On that day two of the coins happened to have heads on both sides. Overjoyed at getting at least two heads, everyone believes they either have some gift or that coins are almost always heads. The next day all the coins were tails on both sides.

This is basically the reality of day trading communities on the internet.
