She would look in the basket first obviously.

However I don't know much about ``touhou lore'', so if Reimu has some kind of psychic attraction to her ying yang ball then she would realize some master of pranks swapped it and look in the box.

I know this test from when my sister studied psychiatry. Something about some people having trouble realising that Reimu dont know about the position switch and insists that reimu will search the right place because the observer saw the switch. Or something.

God I hate psychiatry. This is the kind of bullshit they learn? Figures.

Assuming you aren't talking about people who are assuming that reimu walked away but still saw the switch from a distance, (which wouldn't make much sense because the point of her walking away is presumably to signify she's out of line of sight and earshot) who would think that she would look in the box first?

Bet all those smug psychiatry weenies are now going to get a job and attempt to use their bullshit pseudoscience analysis skills on everything and everyone and make crazy assumptions from them.

I'm about to hire a damn psychiatrist just to argue with him.

Yes, and the only thing you can conclude from that is that they're stupid.

Some people like to make outrageous claims based off small things like this, often which are prone to error. Someone might have really meant to say basket but accidentally mixed them up in speech and now that psychiatrist thinks you're retarded and needs to take psychoactive drugs.

Very small children (under 4 years) do not know that people can hold false beliefs.
Why would Reimu think the orb is in the basket when it's clearly in the box? Makes no sense, right? So they decide based on their own knowledge and perspective.

The OP picture is called the Sally–Anne test. This test was also used to identify autism, and was heavily criticized for it.

It is a simple test to see if the subject has a concept of "agency", the idea that Reimu's mind is separate from the viewer's and different people have different sets of knowledge.

Very young children will say the box because they do not understand that since THEY know where the orb is, how does Reimu NOT know?

This test is used to help diagnose autism at an early age, as autistic children will usually take longer to develop a concept of agency.

That's exactly what I'm talking about

>Very young children will say the box because they do not understand that since THEY know where the orb is, how does Reimu NOT know?
>Very small children (under 4 years) do not know that people can hold false beliefs.

>This test is used to help diagnose autism at an early age

Do you not see a huge problem in this?

Kid might be perfectly fine but just a bit dumb at that age, and because he didn't pass a bunch of stupid tests now everyone thinks he's retarded. Even worse if they put him on psychoactive drugs because of it, which will further make him worse or cause more issues. Which will probably be attributed to some other bullshit fabricated "disease" rather than the drugs, and he will be given more drugs, in a viscous cycle until you just have a retarded fucked up kid because he took psychoactive drugs his entire developmental portion of his life.

You can't tell if someone has a disease from this test. It's not real medical science of any form. It's not accurate. The point is that I'm not picking specifically on this test, the field of psychiatry and psychology are FILLED to the brink with crap like this and every diagnosis made is based off stuff as equally silly as this, rather than medical science.

Answer is in her vagina, because Marisa obviously stole the yin-yang orb and ran away with it (hence she's on the screen in the last panel) to summon succubus with it, that later teleported it using Yukari's power into Reimu's vaginal canal.
Because Reimu is a huge slut and knows how it feels to have something inside her, she experiences pleasure, comes and in the act of cumming she realizes something is in her vagina, so she looks for it there.

Easy.

Yeah but nobody gives out diagnoses of serious afflictions like autism just because of a positive Sally-Anne test, bub. It's just one diagnostic tool to be combined with the data from dozens of others, which, together, MAY lead to a diagnosis which MAY lead to treatment with drugs or something.

I'm just as opposed to the willy-nilly administration of powerful psychiatric medicine as you are, especially in developing minds, but you're barking up the wrong tree. Blame the billionaire pill manufacturers and their enabling agencies who rush the development of drugs, adequately demonstrate neither efficacy nor safety to anyone but themselves, then toss a shilling or two of their earnings at any psychiatrist who will prescribe the shit to anyone who halfway seems like they might have a certain disease. (Rigorous testing to ensure the drug is NOT FUN is a must however, wouldn't want our precious profits being shared with street thugs)

The point is nobody gets put on drugs they don't need because of their response to inkblots or drawings or other silly semi-useful semi-scientific "tests", they get put on drugs they don't need because ambitious, darwinistic, profit-driven people will always rise to positions of power in society, and those kinds of people have no moral integrity, and will do anything to increase their wealth and position. The minds of innocent children are addled by drugs not because of silly tests but because ruthless people have all the money, and money rules society, and if you feel empathy or responsibility or guilt for one second there's always someone who won't waiting in the wings to take your place from you.

why are you obsessed with pockets?
when you lost things as a child did you discover later they were in your pockets?
how did it feel when you discovered those lost items in your pockets?
who did you blame when you couldn't find those items before you found them in your pockets?
Did your parents help you when you would lose things or did they make you find lost things by yourself?
Are you upset with your parents?

>You can't tell if someone has a disease from this test. It's not real medical science of any form.
This test is more to prove theory of mind development. It's a landmark stage much like understanding conservation.

>Even worse if they put him on psychoactive drugs because of it, which will further make him worse or cause more issues. Slippery slope and begging the question. Drugs help a significant amount of people who suffer from psychopathy. You don't know what you're talking about.

>You can't tell if someone has a disease from this test. It's not real medical science of any form. It's not accurate. This is some of the stupidest shit I've read all day. For one, psychiatry is a medical field; your distinction between it and "real science" is erroneous. Both psychiatry and psychology are rooted in scientific methodology. Two, clinical psychology has led to plenty of advancements in medicine and the treatment of serious illnesses. You know, the illnesses that people didn't understand and thought they could cure with shit like holes to the head and exorcism?

Plus, these fields are responsible for getting a lot of /jp/ers their disability checks in the mail. Fuck off.

>> No.11639802

>begging the question.

>Drugs help a significant amount of people who suffer from psychopathy.

I disagree. I don't accept the definition of help as "We gave him these drugs that retard his brain and now he stopped being crazy" as help either. At the very least they harm way more lives.

>For one, psychiatry is a medical field;

Only on paper. It really isn't though.

>Both psychiatry and psychology are rooted in scientific methodology.

Could argue all day about semantics of the definition of science. I don't call what they do science and I've explained why I don't.

>clinical psychology has led to plenty of advancements in medicine and the treatment of serious illnesses.

Like what? Perhaps you're thinking of neurology and neurological diseases. Something unrelated to psychiatry, which is the practice of taking personality traits, emotions, and behaviors and claiming them to be neurological diseases based off assumption and without proof.

>You know, the illnesses that people didn't understand and thought they could cure with shit like holes to the head and exorcism?

Out of the frying pan and into the fire. At least holy water can't harm you.

>>11639802
>The paranoia of the whole field generated from horror stories of individual and often unlicensed or underqualified practitioners is mind-boggling.

I've never once heard of someone complaining about an unlicensed person claiming to be a psychiatrist/psychologist. The "horror stories" are from licensed psychiatrists and often take place in legitimate psych-wards where they keep people against their will.

Do you think it's ethical to force a mind-altering drug into someone's body solely for the purpose of altering their mind, if they refuse it? That is one of the most unethical practices on Earth.

>> No.11639855

1. Not all patients receive medication.
2. The majority of people show improvement in symptoms with medication as opposed to placebo.

>Which will probably be attributed to some other bullshit fabricated "disease" rather than the drugs
Premise = conclusion. You're saying psychology/psychiatry is bullshit because it's bullshit. Most obvious sign that you have no clue what you're talking about is that you're referring to them as the same thing.

>I don't call what they do science and I've explained why I don't.
Where? Circular reasoning doesn't count. Furthermore that's a "No True Scotsman" fallacy.

Science is defined as it is defined. Both fields adhere to that definition.

>Like what?
Depression, schizophrenia, bipolar disorder, behavior problems, learning disorders, etc. Even better is that it offers perspectives for treatment.

>Something unrelated to psychiatry, which is the practice of taking personality traits, emotions, and behaviors and claiming them to be neurological diseases based off assumption and without proof.
That's why they have fields that tie the two together right? Because psychiatrists and psychologists need more fuel for their baseless assumptions? And they do not claim them to be neurological unless there seems to be a neurological basis. Psychological disorders are just that, psychological, often stemming from multiple interacting factors.
