Katakana is easier to learn imho, since most of the written stuff is loan words and can be read even if you don't know any japanese. Hiragana doesn't help much if you don't actually know what the words mean..

see how it gives descriptions of each lesson even the ones you cant access? copy and paste those one by one starting at season two in to a google
search and look them up,

also get a start on kanji as soon as you finish hiragana, for that use wanikna, also Anki.

some of the stuff Ive metioned here is only trials and after you finish the first part it will ask for some cash to continue but they are great places to start even if you dont uave the money to pay for the rest.

the above should give you a excellent start on your journey to learning japanese!
