Oba's skit on AKB48 Show was pretty good, at least funnier than the previous episodes.

And I haven't seen Team H do Kaiyuugyo no Capacity yet, but HKT's version there was pretty shitty. I had to go back and watch some K4 to make sure I wasn't imagining the song being way better than that.

Not sure how I feel about it. 100 songs in one day (it must be two concerts right?) means that members won't be performing in all the songs they're meant to be in.

I read somewhere that Unit Matsuri hasn't been announced yet, it'd be interesting if this means that sub-groups are in Request Hour again. It'd be nice for No3b songs to get up there if it's the last year to see them all together.

I think it's due to having different venues, 200-100 is at the Tokyo Dome City Hall while 100-1 is at Saitama Super Arena. My guess about the gap is that either they couldn't get an earlier booking, or they thought that it would sell out better at that time.
Having the Arena for four days would be too expensive, so it's all in one day. I'm betting on two sessions though, otherwise the tickets for such a long concert would have to be super expensive, which wouldn't work for a large venue.

I just saw that AKBingo episode in which Amina wrote a script on her own and they actually enacted it, now I'm in the mood to watch her perform again, I didn't really follow her much since the election.

Problem is, I can't find anything decent. There's a LOD (AKB48 101025 B5 LOD 1900) on her birthday, which would be perfect, but it's down on all the video hosting sites and no one is seeding it on hello-online either. She seems to perform two unit songs in the new K waiting stage which is being shown since june, but apparently she didn't attend yet and someone filled in for her. Not sure what to try next.

But I assume they still keep in contact with their fans via mobile mail, which is sadly only a service that works in no other country except Japan.

Similar things are happening to the NMB double aces, like with Sayanee updating her blog only three times a week, and Milky updating slightly less. They're both really still active in G+ though (especially Milky) because they know the value of it, and actually scrounge up time just to communicate with fans that can't attend concerts/handshake events or don't have enough money to register for the mobile mail service.

I hope they maintain this and don't end up becoming like their top senbatsu senpai.

Back before AKB got popular, one of the prizes in the theater gachapon machines was a 2-shot (taking a picture together with) ticket for a specific girl. Basically, after every show the girls would spend time one-on-one with fans who had these tickets, wherein you'd get a few minutes to talk and take a polaroid with her, which she would then decorate with markers just like they do in maid cafes. I've heard from wota who did this semi-regularly that the girls got to know a lot of their fans by name, and surprisingly remembered the content of past conversations.

Fans would sell 2-shot tickets so they weren't hard to get if you had the money (I think when I was looking at doing it the price was around $100), but as AKB got more popular the prices went up and then it was discontinued outright when they got too busy with outside work.

Yeah the whole idol business is actually filled with these types of people who do become idols because they want to change themselves and become stronger people. School misfits, bullied girls, girls that survived having their families split apart, etc.

It's one reason I got interested in the whole idol business in the first place. There's a huge gap between what we see on-stage or on TV and what's happening off-camera, and I feel encouraged whenever I see troubled girls try hard and get stronger as the years pass by. Carrying their burdens, yet singing about hope, love, happiness etc. is something that really hits the deep part of myself. Makes me actually want to do something for them, or maybe to make something out of myself.

This week's Odekake was good. I'm obviously biased but I liked Murashige's singing the best. Sakura and Mio were awful as expected. I don't like the using of the point system to compare members though, as it is obviously flawed, I think the judging should be humans.

Apparently all the regular MCs of Anta,Dare? (Top Lead, Chiki Chiki Johnny and Urano Kazumi) are leaving the show, and the members will MC the show themselves.

Fucking sad about Top Lead, they were really fun. Obviously the contents are going to change from now on. At least members will have more time to perfect their MC skills.

I'll share my secret:

Create a circle with only your oshimen in it. Click on the gray bell on the left of the circle settings panel (it looks like a hexagon wheel on the upper right side of the main screen). Once it's turned on, pull out your smartphone, install Google+, go to notification settings, and have your phone set to "Push Notification", and put a check on the options "Shares a post with you directly" and "Shares a post and they're in a circle you subscribe to" for the Phone column.

Once that's all set up, your smartphone should alert you every single time your oshimen posts something new on Google+.

While at home, you can just use your own wireless home network, which works fine, and outside you'll have to use your 3/4G mobile network.
