There's images of a Colosseum, which might mean slavery, but nothing specifically involving sexual slavery. I don't remember having trouble on my old now dead laptop (had an AMD 1.83 GHz dual core, 4 GBs of RAM and I think an ATI Mobility Radeon 4550), but of course, that depends on your specs. I don't think it should be too intensive, though. While it's pretty cool, at it's base it is mostly simple tweening, but if you want to be sure you can try downloading the trial. If anyone's got the time and energy to spare, I've got a bit of a specific recommendation request.

Looking for something with a possessive, possibly yandere-ish heroine of questionable moral character where the route is less about fixing her and more about throwing caution to the winds and just going along with her. Even if that's a bad end.

Something like Maia's end in Hapymaher, Sekka's route in キミへ贈る、ソラの花, or Ren's route in Perseus. Bonus points if she rubs it in the other heroines' faces.

I finished Wasurenagusa to Eien no Shoujo with my bad Japanese. One ending, anyway. It turned out that I only had something like an hour left in the game.

Since I was pretty fine with that ending I guess I'll call it a day on my first Japanese VN, even though I only read 10% of it and understood three quarters of what I did read.

Why does Albatross have 3000+ kanji? Judging by the OP, it doesn't seem to have a really serious plot, or at least I can't seem to find any connection of complex kanji usage and the eroge itself by reading the synopsis. I mean, KKK and Muramasa have that pre-modern Japan atmosphere, whereas Albatross takes place in a ship sailing over the seas. Do they use technical terms regarding the ship and it's parts?

Busy week so I only just got to Kodachi's confession scenes, but the past few hours have been a good experience. The buildup to the confession was pretty nice, and Kakeis 'changed personality' was way more present and noticeable than in the other routes (before he states it and the reason, I mean).
Unfortunately I have things in the morning so I think I'm going to bed now instead of reading until dawn.

I think all nvl games should at least have an option to make the text vertical.
Take itsusora for example. I kind of wish the text in that was vertical for more than that 異ならぬ世の終わりより extra scenario. Is anyone having issues playing Ever 17? I recently got a new pc and windows 8.1, going through my back log of vns no issues with MUV LUV, fate and even older... But when I try and launch Ever 17 after install, fresh installs, tried different locals an a version that doesn't need an install. The game just crashes, no error reported.
And all google searches and solutions don't help... I'm lost, why this one VN refuses to work while random hentai games and everything else works, is just bullshit.

I'm enjoying the game itself a lot although the main girl route was pretty routine in my opinion. The whole bad president of the company who is going to take away the heroine against her will, but then everyone works together and somehow they make the uninsightful adult who forgot his childhood see his mistake and everyone's happy etc etc.

Currently on Hijiri route and honestly enjoying that more. Open Window makes for some funny eroscene interactions too
