Its hard tracking down music from back then I tell ya whhat. I try finding 80's Japanese movie soundtracks with plenty of idols on a few tracks each movie. The only thing I end up getting lead to is hard copues of 1980's Soundtrack CD's. A lot of those CD's won't be avaiouble due to beung sild out via some online store. Its sad to me that just becuase you live seperatly from another country their real music can't be fully appreciateda

Yep the Japanese gane covers and art were better I believe. Just look at the first few Final Fantasy covers conpaired to now.

Awsome link. I have one here saved something like "Cybernetic Tsudere...." Let me post it here in a bit tonight. I've posted it before, but haven't been there in a while. Its just slipped my mind.

Check out this 80's ninja Toketsu with stop motion gaint kaiju battles instead of suits. It had so much potential in stop motion since it was so unique idea, but it was quite a let down. I still really liked it in offput way.

That's part of what I mean. I'm interested in 'folky' music too, and other kinds of music that normal people listened to in the 70s and 80s. You see TV ads for this sort of thing in America all the time. Certainly some comprehensive anthology of 'retro' music exists.

I'm sure the music is floating around in thrift stores, pawn shops and other places where old things accumulate, but there just isn't a high enough population of people who would be willing to rip hundreds of albums in lossless just for a couple westerners to enjoy them.
