I'm not sure what you mean. She gets lots of screen time on Odekake, but that's because that is mostly KKS members on there, and she is like the variety representative for 2nd gen. In terms of shows with first gen though, like Tonkotsu Mahou Shoujo Gakuin, she barely has any presence. And if we are talking who is the best entertainer, I think Chiyori is much funnier and better at talking than Tani is.

As for Shinamon and Wakaharu feeling the heat... well they were never particularly strong variety members to begin with, I don't even think they are suited for variety. More accurately, they aren't particularly popular at all, so I'm sure they are feeling the heat in all directions.

Half of team H as it is, is variety members. I doubt any of them would feel pressure from Tani in particular just because she got a bit of a push, she still isn't really any more popular than the least popular team H girls. The girls who probably feel the most pressure or heat, are Haruppi and Sakura from Mio and Meru.

Japan is better but I'm moving to Korea because their language is much easier. After 3 months of extensive learning and watching k-dramas I can already understand the majority of what people say, whereas I learned Japanese for months and watched so many anime but still don't know anything. It was a waste of time.

The HKT girls are really cute, but that's all there is for the time being. They're still busy developing their characters and all. Still, you might want to take a look at season 1 and 2 of Hakata Hyakkaten. It's actually pretty funny, and AKB, SKE and NMB members show up as guests in it.

I understand not following SKE this late, but they're still worth it. Surprising even that the inclusion of Oba in the mix (I don't really like her) made her improve massively in variety and performance. The 5th gen and 6th gen are darlings and KII is such a lovably crazy team. Actually, all of SKE is the home of /a/ and /jp/ that lives in harmony. Just my definition. They're a really fun bunch that it's a shame you skipped on them.

It's so nice to see an NMB bro, I'm also a Kansai region lover so NMB just nails it. Also helps that they're a funny and talented bunch. My main focus is also in NMB (and moreso when Yui was part of it because oshimen) but that didn't change when Yui came back to headquarters, I just needed to catch up with AKB again.

Speaking of which, their new single Heart Ereki is pretty cool. Seeing them perform it live (without lipsync) is really a treat.

What should I watch to get into NMB?

Watch their old series Naniwa Nadeshiko. There's also Star Hime Sagashi Taro, which has a lot of episodes dedicated to their audition days, their first appearances, first theater performances, etc. Once you're done knowing them, go watch NMB Geinin series 1 and 2.

After that there's Docking48 and NMB to Manabukun.

Mikan is the BOSS, and she's freakishly tall for a Japanese gradeschooler.

I'm familiar with a lot of the SKE girls like Yukko, Yuria, Manatsu, Annya, Kin-chan, Makiko etc. but I haven't really gotten to watching their variety shows because of how many other shows I already follow. Plus, there's so many Nagoya-only stuff that they're doing that's hard to follow. I tried watching through Magical Radio, but the formulaic nature of each episode got me disinterested the more I watched.

Anyways, the reason I got into AKB in the first place was because of Kansai girls like Masuda and Yui, but I stayed because there were a lot of funny and cute girls at the time. Much time has passed and I'm getting a bit bored now though. Having so many of the good girls for variety graduating really put a dent on AKB in my opinion.

Yeah it was shit. Voting singles are usually terrible for me, and this year's was the worst. Anyway, all 87 votes for Milky. Still wasn't enough to put a dent on that vote difference between her and Sayanee.

I wanted her to win against Sayanee at least once. So do a lot of other Japanese people, but most of them either have a scarce budget or think that voting only a few times is enough (while there are some traitors that said "I'll vote for other people since Milky got #10 in the prelims anyway" when they actually oshihen'd). The gap this time was only a few thousand votes too, so if the fans actually hauled ass, then Milky would've overtaken Sayanee this year.

Next year's going to be a lot harder because of Sayanee being a regular in more tv shows, more girls being attracted to her cool image, and more guys being attracted to her jugs.

Also, I haven't seen NMB in AKBINGO since quite a long time ago (when Sayanee and Milky were on Shoujiki Shogi). HKT girls kept on getting appearances on AKBINGO while NMB never really got as much back then, and even now.

They should bring the NMB senbatsu members or next gen NMB girls in the show from time to time as well. Basically, SKE and HKT got a whole heap of exposure on the biggest 48-group show, yet NMB only showed up a few times, which is infuriating for me as a fan, especially when NMB barely get any shows to themselves that last long.
