This is a bit off-topic, but it's a Japanese guy on a Japanese motorcycle. It picks up around 1:55. For those who don't want to watch the video, a motorcyclist rides down a road following train tracks, which are currently being used by a vintage train. Riding alongside something like that with the huge billows of black smoke, blowing its horn, it must be really great.

I've seen that movie and it's a great piece of seeing the past history flash in front of you eyes on bikes. Like seeing yourself in a different light as a teen again. You see everything they faced back then. A real testament to youth and everything that comes with it; pain, anger, sad loneliness, bursts of heart filled passion, brotherhood, and even the fringes of adolescent love. It speaks.

Mine, if it's pushed, reaches maybe 45mph tops. The speedo is broke so I can't tell the exact speed, but the speed limit around here is 45 and people sometimes slowly pass me. It may sound like a joke, but wind direction and road incline really played a huge part in the top speed. If you're going to just be riding slowly around the neighborhood or in the city then it's fine, but it's not good to ride an engine like that constantly.

>>11507945
Have you ever ridden? It's pretty great. You really notice a lot on a bike too. You smell so much more, you hear more, plus you see and notice more than in a car. Once you're comfortable on the bike, carving your way down some curvy roads or just cruising down a nice road is like something out of a video game.

Personally I also enjoy the anonymity gear offers. In the end riding is just unique and fun experience.

I took some sort of written test at the DMV and got a permit which lets me ride during the day, off the freeways, and without a passenger. The two time I've been pulled over with it (both at night) the officers didn't care that it was just the permit. I only rode that bike for a couple of months anyway before I got a modern bike anyway. There are worse things on the roads than just an old bike.

If you're not set on an S90, there are tons of old CBs for sale. I guess they don't really look the same.

I really like that style too. The reason I was hoping for an S90 was because I wanted to avoid paying insurance on it. You usually have to pay for insurance for anything 50cc and up. I have a car something small will save me time basically and deep down I wanted to be a Japanese high school delinquent, but certain issues at the time wouldn't allow me to have bought a bike a few years back then. I have a hard time distinguishing between these bikes. No offense, but I would really like a red one of those if I had the choice.

The S90 is still 90cc, so you'd have to still pay insurance on it, right? There's a CB50 which is 50cc, but it doesn't really look that old. It's easy to find older Honda models if they're CBs, but finding anything else is a bit hard. There may be an older looking bike with a smaller engine somewhere out there, but I have no idea what it'd be. Sorry I can't help much.

As long as it is 50cc and has the classic look to it you're showing me than that's all I care about. It doesn't have to look "really old" either. I remeber watching tv on American Pickers and there was an old woman with the original honda or suzuki motor bike released in the U.S in the1910's or something worth $1600. It was blue and white with leather padding. Oh it was beautiful. One of the guys was going to pay the lady $900 dollars for it, but she said "Oh no no I sold that to the boys down the street for a $100" as if she hadn't a care in the world. To get THAT the ORIGINAL motor bike launched in North America would be a find I would ride everyday.

So buy a CB50 then, got it. Thanks buddy.

Also I think this pic of mine is some kind of....I don't know what it is. I'm sure back in the day some hooligans were riding around on them with adults getting pissed off.

>> No.11511495

>>11511466

I'd imagine it's because they don't really get into many violent situations in their lives. If you look at the way that American biker gangs dress it's more practical than fashionable. They have their vests, but everything else is just a normal shirt and jeans that are baggy enough to conceal a gun. Pretty much the kind of clothes that you would expect to see for someone who stays awake for days on meth binges and wears whatever he found on the floor when he woke up, gets into fights frequently, and would need to ride through rough terrain to get to whatever out of the way location they use for their meth production.

A lot of the stuff that I saw in these Bosozoku videos was just completely ornamental and would just get in the way or be too much of a bother to maintain if they were actual criminals. Overall, they just looked way too clean, their clothes were in perfect condition, they were all clean-shaven and had well maintained hair, and it gave me the impression that all they do is dress up and ride around in the streets.

They simply couldn't take that last step from badass delinquent to delinquent bososzuku then man. They're still badass, just no bike. At least get a CB50. In all fairness there isn't any real nicr looking afortable bikes like they use to. I don't think its a change in style but rather companies tryying to extinguish and discourage the bososzuku and American greeser social class. In that reguard a scooter looks nicer for teens than the now popular (where you cant ride much of anything else without being luaghed at by the yolo/swagfag crowd) Crotch Rockets.

I dont like them. I will not like them for a long time. I don't want one. Give me my classic bike era back where style and freedom road yell of your gang and roar of the engine.
