To be honest humans don't stink as much as many think they would from their interactions with hobos. At least their "natural odor" is pretty unrecognizable unless it builds up on their clothes. I've had experience of walking around not bathed for weeks, but nobody bat an eye. Although its semi true as some odors can actually be very aggressive like alcohol or periods, those make you outstandingly stinky, but otherwise even sweat goes unnoticed by about everyone who is not allergic.

Fun thing is smell sticks to everything, but skin is the least subjective to smell (except for secretive parts like genitalia), because water from your sweat dissolves and evaporate pretty much everything, albeit not that fast. After about 8 hours though bacterias will breed on it and will produce "sweat smell", which is widely unrecognized by other people, because its extremely common and your brain usually decides to ignore it. However water vapor is partly blocked by your clothes so they get "dirty" as stench builds up.
