I love this artist. It's a shame this image isn't in higher resolution.

I've recently switched over to using a batch downloader. Its great for downloading single artists' works but it sucks hard for downloading by tag.
Anyone know how to make the batch downloader dump everything into a single folder as opposed to creating new folders for every artist?

yeah it has its limitations with cropped pictures and such but for the most part it's pretty amazing

it can even point you towards where a picture was saved if the artist deleted it/their account, though that may be little consolation in that instance

I knew about Sauce Nao but I never realized it can go back to Pixiv. What I did until now was use IQDB and then hope the picture has a link to the source on Danbooru. I feel kind of silly.

also I disable the green light thing on like every page but the medium preview one
because that's what causes that really intrusive preview box over images
whereas on the medium preview page it's a yellow bar below the image

SauceNAO's 'mission' is quite different from IQDB. IQDB only attempts to find a copy of the image on a booru. SauceNAO attempts to provide the actual source information whenever possible.

In addition to the general H-Magazine, H-Anime, H-Game, and Anime indexes, SauceNAO indexes Pixiv, Drawr, NicoNico Seiga, Nijie.info. (The Nijie.info updates are currently broken, but the rest are updated every few hours) Danbooru and Yande.re are also indexed for lower priority callback results to provide source, and related information when a primary source is not known.

I'm currently working on a new search backend which is far more tolerant of alterations. If all goes well, by spring SauceNAO should be able to handle cropped and rotated images.

As with when I replaced the aging IQDB backend with the newer more capable and much faster code earlier this year, and when we started the site redesign, new software roll-outs are fairly slow going.
There are far too many things worth doing, (releasing the API and updating the H-Anime indexes for example), but I work alone, and I don't have nearly enough free time to get them done quickly.

I don't think most people realize how huge SauceNAO is at this point... The site has been around since 10/21/2008, has been directly indexing pixiv since September 2009, and is now approaching its 200 millionth indexed image.
I know it's still an amateur/hobby endeavor, but I'd like to think I'm taking it to a new level~

Also, this is the first time I'm discovering Nijie too which means I have a lot of images to go ahead and save now. I wish I had a script to save the filenames the way I want like I do with Pixiv though.

you just got to get lucky with taghopping really
if a certain crossover/pose has a specific name, use that

otherwise just try to search for multiple tags corresponding to what you're looking for
(and even then some artists just can't tag for shit)

I use the same one, and since it saves all the images into different folders by artist, just do a search in the main folder all of those folders are saved in for .jpg, and then when all the images pop up just drag them into a single folder
