She's one of my absolute favorites. However, I also kinda feel being in the spotlight isn't really her thing. It felt really weird when people were saying she was going to be in HM, because that wouldn't suit her at all.

Anyway, I think she's great. She has such a nice combination of traits that make her really unique, at least to me. I also love her design, it's pretty majestic.

Not sure how I should put this, but I guess I see her as something right between those two. She is very competent in many ways, but her emotional and kinda timid personality gets in her way sometimes too. She also has a drinking problem which might mean she's not the best with temptation.

I also always thought that she probably became an avatar of Bishamonten mostly because she wanted to be of use to Hijiri and the others, rather than for religious reasons. That might be both a strength and a weakness, depending on the situation.

Appearance-wise, handsome and majestic Shou is easily the best though. I normally like big breasts but the recent trend to portray Shou with them makes me sad and frustrated.

Another one of my absolute favorites. Because of her I did lots of research on the royal Japanese court of old around the time TD came out. I did it in order to learn more about her (and the others as well I suppose). During that time she grew on me a lot, and eventually climbed to my top 3.

I should perhaps also mention I find anger-management problems really endearing in female characters for some reason.

But yeah. For a mid-boss with next to no lines I think the fandom has treated her well.

She is probably a very busy person who is contained to temple at most times because of her important duties there. Makes sense that'd she'd have the help of Nazrin, who can all that stuff she cannot do, run errands and represent her on location where Shou herself cannot be present.

Most of arranges, fangames, videos and several doujins are not in a way are made by non-fans or even secondaries, IMO.

The only ones I can think could be made by non-fans and secondaries are majority of fanarts, H-doujins and videos like IOSYS and Innocent Key.

Now that I think about it, there aren't many Touhous that I actively dislike. Byakuren, Kanako, and Watatsuki no Toyohime, and that's pretty much it. Even then, I only dislike Toyohime because of the whole threatening genocide thing and all. Kanako strikes me as too grasping and eager to modernize without thinking through the ramifications, and I dislike Byakuren's rampant and blatant hypocrisy. I like everyone else a lot. Some more than others, of course, but they're all interesting.
