What ruined Saki imo was the building in Achiga that showed us that the manga will last forever, Saki vs Teru is probably not even going to happen in the nationals.
And the plot armor in Achiga was just silly, the strogest school keeps getting cock blocked by girls who trained one day just because they are the main characters.

That's stupid. You're stupid. Everything in Achiga happens for a reason. You may not like what happens, but it's always explained perfectly well, with clearly defined powers, tactics to defeat them, and all that jazz. Meanwhile, the regular Saki was just "Saki wins because she's so overpowered she pulls yakumans out of her ass". That's what's silly.

Achiga saved the series for me. Cheering for an underdog is actually fun, would you imagine?

The only good part about Achiga was the girls struggling against Teru. Every other match had little to no tension, and the last match was laughably bad.
