How does marijuana compare to tobacco? Health issues aside, how's the feeling? I know cigarettes give you a "flash-buzz" for a couple of minutes, similar to what a couple of beers do to you, but it goes away fast. Is marijuana similar?

It really depends on the alcohol, but if you're asking about the taste, meek alcohol like beer or wine is usually bitter, and you can barely even feel the aftertaste. Stuff like Gin and Vodka are used to make mixtures, while Whisky and Brandy are usually downed by themselves. After a couple of cans or a couple of shots, depending on your disposition, you'll start to feel dizzy and disconnected, and your skin starts going numb. This can last for several hours depending on the intensity of your rampage.

Personally, I would tell you to stick to cigarettes instead because when I tried to get into alcohol proper, even the bare smell of the stuff made me nauseous. In contrast, it was pretty easy to get into some meek cigarettes, and two months later I could smoke a heavy brand with no real trouble.

Also, tobacco has a way more lethal and easy to catch long term effect, but alcohol the next day over is a bitch to cope with. Get ready to drink a lot of water!

Well, initially alcohol didn't seem as fun as weed to me, with weed being more cerebral and bizarre, I guess. Alcohol, is easier to get sick from, I suppose if you drink too much. But it's a lot of fun to me. It's less about thinking and more about just mindlessly enjoying things, although weed is nice for that too. You'll probably be adverse to the taste at first, but you'll acquire a taste for all types of alcohol after some time. I suppose you could start out with something like Mike's hard lemonade or something like a "White Russian" that tastes like some mocha coffee drink. Or guzzle it down your anus! Pot head otaku here. It's pretty awesome for the most part. I don't think I'm getting anything strong but I always have a good time when I do toke and I'm usually in control. You just feel more connected with your emotions (everything is funnier/sadder/awesome) and of course a bit dumber too.

Playing games and watching cartoons is just great. Watched all of K-On!! Baked and I do not regret it (just going to say I cried a lot when I got to that episode). Stuff like Bakemono or Nichijou would be fun to watch too.

Obviously it's not for everyone but IMO Pot> Alcohol. If your open minded give it a try, just don't let it control your life and be careful.

I'd rather have beer. Sure, I've never tried any drugs or whatever you want to call it but for me after a can or two, beer starts tasting sweet and I start chugging it down like it was juice.
Just take a piss whenever you feel like it though, and eat a lot of stuff once you wake up.
I either eat really fatty/spicy stuff, bonus points if it's some sort of soup or just fresh fruits.

Getting high with /jp/!

I smoke because I've become rather disillusioned and bored with most of the hobbies and things I used to love, but when I'm high everything is fascinating; you can stare at a tree or a lawn or an animal and become hypnotized just overanalyzing the shit out of it ("holy shit look at this cat, so soft, what a great cat, where did cats come from, why is there a cat instead of no cat, I love this fuckin' cat, the best cat, wow") so anime and video games and shit are amazing too. Once I stared into my LED-lit computer case for like 10 minutes thinking about all the fuckin' electrons zooming around in there and how amazing it looked. Also music is more engaging, a really intense song with a lot of feeling or a big crescendo or climax can give you shivers and make you unable to think about anything but the music, and everything in general is more emotional, I've cried over sappy movies and corny cutscenes, and laughed until i was out of breath at things that are normally only mildly funny.

Drinks make you boisterous and act without thinking, while weed makes you act cautiously and overthink everything you do (leading to anxiety in some people). Drinking makes you sick to your stomach, weed relieves nausea and upset stomach and increases appetite. Alcohol makes you too dizzy and dumb to focus on anything, cannabis makes you entranced and immersed into anything you do or watch. Alcohol can make you violent, aggressive, and hateful, but when I get high shitposts and youtube comments and feminists and shit that normally makes me angry just makes me laugh and smile at how silly it is.

I smoke regularly, like a few times a week. This has two effects on my interaction with Touhou:
1. I will save wallpapers I think look amazing at the time, which seem kinda meh in the light of day, and
2. My gameplay is actually better, due to the time dilation.

Also, if any of the 2hus got high, it would be Marisa. She's not even close to my favorite, but I can imagine her indulging. She might be the most fun one to get high with, too. But that's a tough call.

I know what you mean. Weed makes work feel like fun and fun feel like superfun, so it's easy to smoke all the fuckin' time and never want to stop. I've had to suddenly stop after smoking every day for over a year due to money, the first 1-3 days do leave you feeling a little empty and thinking about how nice it would be to get high, but after 3 days or so you forget about it and it seems silly to think that you need it and it doesn't even sound that great.

Then after a little tolerance break I smoke again and remember why I love it and the cycle repeats. Still, calling this "dependence" or "withdrawal" is a joke to anyone who has experience with actual withdrawal from nicotine, alcohol, opiates, or strong stimulants.

I have to agree that some things just are more fun for me when high. I can enjoy these things without weed, too, but it gives me an enhancement that I find enjoyable. The one time I smoked weed with some pretty girls, I was pretty drunk and started feeling super ill about ten minutes later. My (male) friend and I went to my tent and fell asleep, and when I woke up I felt absolutely terrible and was having my sleeping bag pulled off me by some kunt friends of mine.

Is this how weed is supposed to make you feel?
