How hard is it to maintain a hime cut? Would I have to cut my hair very often for the frontal part to stay in proportion with the rest?

Just cut the front part yourself. Comb your hair straight down and cut across. Easy-peasy. The other parts do not matter how long they are. Proportionality isn't important, just that you have the hime bangs.

I don't find it that tough to maintain other than using a straightener but like I said I usually pin the front out of the way.

The trick is to not make the side parts so noticeable. You want them to be able to layer in with the rest of your hair, but still be noticeable when you want it to.

This might not exactly be a hime, but its still cute.

No. That's not how hair works. To get enough hair to produce that kind of volume would require you to be extremely hairy like chewbacha or use extentions.

Not really. It's just an exaggeration like the eyes. It's stylistic. If hair actually puffed out like that, say if you compensate the volume with cotton around which the hair wraps then it would be really heavy and you would live with severe neck pain.

Real drills aren't the same in any way and they're more like French curls. As an example when straightened my hair reaches to my lower back but normally only reaches just past my shoulders when it curls.
