So I finally got around to finish the fate route of FSN and I'm not very impressed. Maybe because I started almost a year ago and had pauses of severel months in between, but it didn't seem that endorsing to me.

Will UBW atone for this and make it way better?

Also, the extra menu in FSN tells me a running time of 2 days and 12 hours. It really did feel fucking long, but never that long (I'm sure I left it on some hours without actually playing though).

While you probably lost a lot of enjoyment from having breaks between the story, I enjoyed Fate exponentially more than the anime. Then again, some people just don't like Nasu's writing. UBW was admittedly better, though.

UBW is truly a story which can be defined as only being good in its conclusion, at least in relation to the actual storyline.

The climax of the story is truly the best part. Lancer, Archer, Gigglemesh, Shirou...

It has good parts in the middle, but is defined by UBW, which is the ending.
