Don't worry.
The next route never really hits the same climatic height as Ichijou's and most people say it's overall a little bit weaker, but it's solid and has some really memorable moments.

Final route is great too. There's a point where it kind of feels like it's starting to go off the rails, but it quickly corrects and the climax is arguably the best moment in the game.

Ah screw it, I don't have time to read the Totono demo, anyways. Might as well wait for the full release instead of trying to download the demo over and over again.

I was about to start it when you started about the first case, it really starts paying off early on, the first danganronpa was so easy, the characterization and motivations tend to be a lot better too, the best in this regard, not taking into account the last case, in the first was the fourth case and Sakura's suicide and these two cases so far have been on that level or better especially Peko, you could tell she really cared for Kuzuryuu and she was trying to protect him and the characters remained sympathetic throughout.
My only real complain with it is the shotdown part of the gameplay, I just can't get used to the sword. And can't wait till my favorite characters I've been doing conversations with start getting killed, it's when the game starts getting depressing for me.

Finished the Totono trial, getting a bad end from the start feels kind of odd, it even made me kind of feel bad. Looks like there will be timeline fuckery and reality fuckery so they will likely take the game in many directions and reset it. I bet Miyuki being a yandere is a red herring too.

Since the average eroge player is supposed to represent god, I doubt it. I didn't feel like that particular aspect was that creepy while reading, actually, but the more I think about it the more unsettling it is. Aoi desperately trying to appeal to 'God', where we have the power to change their world.

On a related note, I found it terribly amusing that a character who is essentially your everyday LN protagonist (albeit more hotblooded than usual) going to a typical VN protagonist for help with his dilemmas and getting fuck all.

Right now, I'm working on Gore Screaming Show. Yuka has to be the best loli waifu ever. The only problem with the game is the harem route is fucking shit.

Just finished chapter 5 of super dangan ronpa 2, incredibly amazing trial, really emotional and well executed, no other will probably top this one, just perfect, Nagito was incredible (as a delusional asshole) even after death, damn and Nanami was fantastic, the trial itself was horribly unfair because of the situation, which really helps building emotion when she basically confesses in tears and then Monomi trying to protect her.
And then the chapter ends and the mc broke, except it wasn't the mc, it was the world, which I had been suspecting (more like hoping) since DR1 to be the twist.

Same, I'm really itching for Totono now even though it can be finished in one evening by the sound of things.

A bit late, but finished ChuSinGura 46+1. Up through chapter 3, I honestly felt that it was one tier below kamige. Chapter 4 had a strong start with Ohatsu/Irobe but the infodumping was really pointless and I was unsympathetic to Kazumi's character, making it really hard to identify with the protagonist at times. I think that the worst single decision the writer made was to obscure the protagonist's perspective in chapter 5 in order to stack all the reveals. What could have been constant dramatic anticipation ended up becoming a bunch of revelations that were too rushed to really be appreciated. But I still rated this high based purely on the quality of chapters 1-3.

I thought the second chapter was the strongest part of the game with the third chapter just behind, they also focused on the best characters, the first chapter was nice and good throwback to the original Chusingura story too.
But overall I was very disappointed that the story ended up being so poor and the fighting scenes weren't much to my taste since they weren't narrated at all, they had no tension.
In the end I mainly appreciated Chusingura as a moege.

Since you're familiar with Sakurai's works you should try out what served to be a major inspiration for them, Meteor's Forest. Kusarihime is great too, though its ending will infuriate you.

I don't think I did either. Juri and Itsuki essentially being their own parents was just 2deep4me. A lot of people would disagree, but the sci-fi tweeest completely ruined Kusarihime for me.

Where as Loverable had a 5 or so part common route with each part being centered around a different heroine and the branching from there, this has had a prologue and then the "Friend Part" which I'm currently still in where you select one of the 4 heroines at and then initially choose from 3 Topics with 3 further choices in them of which you can select two per heroine choice and once you select all the "right" choices in that segment, the next segment is a scene focusing on that heroine and then next you you select that heroine it's 5 groups with two choices. Can't really say much more about it now.

Game's been decently entertaining so far, but that's mostly due to the music rather than the writing I think. Most of the tracks so far sound like they'd fit right in in a chuunige rather than in a moege, so the seriousness of the music combined with the silliness of the events is making me laugh.

Alright, I am about to start it without knowing a damn thing about it. Wish me luck.

Rukina's route was better than I expected, but that's not to say it was very good.

I liked the surprise 3p end, though.

Out of the three sub characters, Gi's route was clearly the best. I liked how Suu's route offered some more backstory, but it's not as if the plot is particularly interesting.

I read the trial last month.

It was pretty good and the heroines are top notch. You get used to the tits bags quickly enough. The setting is pretty decent so far and there will be some darker elements in it. What I main fear is that they may spend too much time in the setup and not enough time with the main plot.

The writer wrote Cartagra and the director directed G-Sen.

Learn Japanese. Start now and buy the time you get through the good translated ones you'll be ready for easy untranslated stuff.

For recommendations, check VNDB and sort by rating, ignoring anything originally written in English. Also, check /vg/'s VN thread, since they actually keep up with translations there. I hear they have a recommendation chart as well.

I like it so far, although I can't say too much as I'm only on the 4th chapter. Each chapter consists of a case that Haru and the others work together to solve. The only problem I find so far is that some cases seem to be solved a bit too easily, it's kind of an asspull in my opinion. The pacing is also kind of slow, but it isn't bad.

There's a lot more plot than I expected, to be honest. I'm not even done yet and I find it more well written than most of the BL games I've played, although that's not really saying much. There's also a reason to play every route since they all tie in to the main story. I'm suspecting it'll really pick up in the last few chapters, so I'm pretty excited to see how things will turn out.

Also, Hiroyuki is pretty cute.
