Cost of film is a big one, plus digital images are higher quality. I take a lot of photos, and it would be hard to find a place that processes film near me. Or even sells film for that matter. Pretty weird to think about, that taking a picture used to cost money. I wonder what kids who grew up in the 2000s think about people who used to use film.

It's very well built, doesn't need batteries, it's tiny, the OM lenses are still great even by today's standards, and the viewfinder is one of the largest ever put in any camera. Plus I think it looks nice without the hotshoe.

I guess most of these things aren't specific to the OM-1 except for the viewfinder, lens selection, and size.
