Hello /jp/, it's my first time here and I came for some help. I want to go to Japan as a foreign exchange student either my junior or senior years in high school. I still have a few years to do so but the problem is my mom. Initially, she didn't have a problem with it and told me to go for it. But now, she's saying that I need to talk with God to lay it on her heart that I should go. Now, I am a christian myself but no one can prove or disprove God's existence. So if God isn't real, it's really only up to my mom and how she feels about my leaving for a long time. Which isn't going to happen. I was wondering if there was any way to (maybe sub-consciously) convince my mom to let me go? Or convince her God said I should go? Or something. I need your help!

What you should do is get your GED and go to a community college for two years. Then use your AA to get into JET and teach English overseas.

Not only can you enjoy the authentic Japanese high school experience, you can create it and be paid for it.

I thought about JET, but then I realized I'm not white.

Man the fuck up punk, Your moms a woman and should be treated like one, back hand the bitch if she got a problem. or keep being a spineless little teenage bitch the rest of your life and never grab a chance like this when you get one again and just go on living life as a weeb peace of shit.

You will never get any sweet Japanese highschool puss if you keep this up kid.

How about searching for a foreign exchange student's blog or something?
Check it with your mom.

Guys the point isn't my mom not like japan or anything, it's me leaving. I doubt she'd let me go anywhere on foreign exchange without something like this. Do you guys think there's anything I could say that might subtly influence her to change her mind?

>>11064257 knows what's up. But this isn't the kind of situation where that'd work. Got any better ideas?
