I finally finished MLA, what the hell?

That wasn't satisfying at all. I thought authors spent lots of time working on clever, good endings.

The Alternative universe's humanity is left in a state that could be called certain death. The BETA are still alive in ridiculous numbers, with a 'stage nine' hive on mars/the moon, a robotic, unquestioning desire to serve whatever sent them there, and an inoculative ability to adapt to whatever humanity can do.

Not to mention the 10^37 'original hives' still fucking around on the other worlds. I doubt those will forget about Earth once it stops phoning home.

And on a personal level, Takeru is thrown into the Final Extra world to participate in a careless harem, with no memory of all those people who died hoping he'd remember them, and with Kasumi having no apparent intent to clue him in.

I don't understand that ending at all. So many questions about the BETA left unanswered. Were they setting it up for a sequel that never happened?

Relatedly, so I'm the translator for Loe Quality Translations (working on translating HaraPara by Swanmania and Mamankyoushitsu by Swaneye+) and I want to ask just how important is translating the sex scenes to people? I mean, I know people don't play Nukige for the plot, but seriously; the sex scenes are usually so tedious and full of stock phrases, I usually just want to skip them so I can progress the story faster and work on other things.
