Is Strike Witches really that fun and make browsing interesting? I have both seasons and I haven't touched them. I don't really like anime much anymore because of fan service overload and crappy writing but the service in Strike Witches, while excessive looking, doesn't look too bad.

I just want fun to make me forget life for a while. I tried watching Hataraku Mao recently and was greeted with a cute innocent girl being brutally murdered in a fetishized way with blood in the first five minutes.

If you watch SW for the service you are doing it wrong.

It has a great setting and the writing is good with loveable characters.
