Thanks, but I did already. 30 miles at 17-18mph, it was a little bit windy. No one passed, except this one guy I was pulling. We rotated for a few miles, but he ended up drafting off of me most of the time again.

In his maiden speech, he declared himself to be a Jedi in the debate over "Racial and Religious Hatred Bill" under consideration in Parliament. His comment was intended to be taken ironically and raise the issue of how the Bill would define what was and wasn't a religion.

Jamie Reed has also referred to himself as a "good Methodist" in parliamentary debate:[1]

As a good Methodist, I shall refuse the opportunity to bet. My hon. Friend mentioned the economic estimates done by a German economist on the amount of money spent on nuclear technology and nuclear research and development. Are we talking principally about the civil nuclear sector? Is the military nuclear sector also included? He also mentioned the IAEA. It does not exist to promote the nuclear industry; it exists to give it some kind of international regulatory framework.

Reed may be best known for his support of the nuclear industry. Sellafield is in Copeland and the nuclear industry is the main employer in the area. He has frequently referred to the "17,000 individual interests" that he has in the future of the nuclear industry.[2][3][4]

He is currently serving as one of Labour's Shadow Ministers for Health, under Shadow Secretary of State for Health, Andy Burnham.

In the allegory, Plato likens people untutored in the Theory of Forms to prisoners chained in a cave, unable to turn their heads. All they can see is the wall of the cave. Behind them burns a fire. Between the fire and the prisoners there is a parapet, along which puppeteers can walk. The puppeteers, who are behind the prisoners, hold up puppets that cast shadows on the wall of the cave. The prisoners are unable to see these puppets, the real objects, that pass behind them. What the prisoners see and hear are shadows and echoes cast by objects that they do not see. Here is an illustration of Plato’s Cave:

I find it amazing that Plato came up with the theory for simulated reality several thousand years before computers existed.

It was a disaster. After riding around I felt the urge to pee, so I pulled into a shopping mall and the bathrooms were locked, so I went to a nearby park and the bathrooms were locked as well. I peed on the side of the bathroom building and as I finished I could hear people laughing. I don't know how many were there, but there were at least two people sitting in the dark about fifteen feet away from me while I peed. It was too dark for them to see anything, but they saw me encounter the locked door and could hear me peeing.

This is so embarrassing.

I went for a ride to a park with my gf. We were sitting alone in the dark when all of a sudden we see this guy trying to get into the bathrooms. I was going to tell him where another bathroom was, but he peed on the side of the wall instead. I haven't laughed that hard in a long time! What a weird guy, huh?
